Dude, we payed money. Is smooth and fun experience on PC instead of trainwreck of annoyance is too much to ask?

You really exxagerate man.  It's hardly a "trainwreck".

What he or she* said:

What I hear:

"I'm mad because this wasn't tailored with us PC gamers in mind only and was made with multiple platforms in mind." I'll reserve judgment on it until I've played it but others seem to think it's good or even great and not a watered down version of an RPG. I'll have to wait until I play it but it seems most people have good things to say.

The controls are a bit weird and you have to get used to them.  But otherwise, this game is fantastic.  So go forth and enjoy, Inquisitor!

Just because some people have a problem others shouldn't say they don't?

Saying that you don't have a problem is pointless. It doesn't help to sort out the problems and bugs, it doesn't make a discussion working. It only alienates people and makes them feel bad for things they're not responsible for - bad and clunky UI or controls or bugs or glitches

Imagine a thread about, let's say, a flu. People complain that they went down the illness and discuss how it is terrible and how to deal with it. Then some random folk jump in and say that they don't have a flu so people who complain about being sick are just trolls or sth. It's pointless and frankly rude

Yes, imagine a thread about a potentially life-threatening illness, vs a thread about clunky UI in a video game. I can't think at all why those aren't completely equatable.

And you still pretty much insult people for being upset for legiti reasons. Really?

Well, that's good for you.

It should be on the PC too, though.

It is good on PC. Runs brilliantly at 60 FPS Ultra Settings, loads pretty decently, controls are a little weird at first but I put that down to having to unlearn DAO and DA2 controls. And I have a controller but choose m+kb. There is nothing wrong with the m+kb controls. My biggest issue was getting over my training from DAO and DA2 but the vastly improved combat is worth it.

That's right. I said the combat is vastly improved. :P

Being upset for legitimate reasons is perfectly fine. And coming here to gnash teeth and rage about how those legitimate concerns mean the end of all that is good and holy and how BioWare and EA are the Anti-Christ, and how you'll never be whole again because you're so distraught...that is entertainment for all.

This isn't a bug thread. It's an opinion thread, so it's perfectly fair for people to come in and say they think the game is amazing, which is what the post said.

Like many have already suggested, re-map them to something closer to DA:O and move on.

Or the get gamepad and move on.

I don't think this issue you mention is annoying enough to fuel such a tantrum.

If you want to expres how happy you are and how people who are not should suck-it-up-or-sth - please create your own thread. Don't troll people, don't insult people. They - we - have all legit reasons to be upset and express our disappointment

I don't recall anyone calling Bioware or EA Anti-christ

Christ, some people are so ****** ungrateful. If you have complaints about the game that is cool OP, not everyone is going to have the same experience when playing on different devices. But you could at least do it in a respectful manner instead of acting like a complete jerk about it. How would you like it if someone came into your space and told you that something you had worked your ass off on for four years was a big pile of sh*t? Show some common courtesy and give constructive criticism instead of going on a rant.

Yeah, people are having problems with the controls on PC and it is frustrating as hell but has it even been 24 hours since release? Have you even given it a fair go to try and get the hang of things? And it isn't like you don't have options, we aren't living in the 90's anymore. Plenty of PC gamers use a controller now and what world are you living in that having to buy one disgusts you? Are you serious because I am completely befuddled by that. Murder disgusts me, rape disgusts me, children dying of neglect disgusts me and others starving to death because they live in third world countries DISGUSTS ME.  You need to sort out your sensibilities.

Edit: Lol, I do realize that I have contradicted myself by going on a rant about the OP. Meh, I don't give a sh*t anymore.

Thanks. I'm picking the game up today but won't be able to play it until Friday. I'm not spending a lot of time here to avoid spoilers.

They know about the issues PC players are having, Mike Laidlaw posted a lot of tweets about them, also suggestions to get around them until they can internalize the discussion.  (all of which has been transcribed in the tweet thread)  So they are listening, so maybe don't be all super angry posts, and instead post constructive criticism instead of GOD BIOWARE YOU SUCK YOURE NOW DEAD!!!!!

This may explain why we have a million different threads, all on the same topics.

The point of a forum is to have different viewpoints within the same thread, to discuss. Not to have everyone create their own thread.

With that being said, I agree that people should not be insulted. However, this becomes very difficult when dealing with an unreasonable viewpoint that may or may not be based on legitimate criticisms but nevertheless has been poorly (and childishly) expressed.

If so many people complain about the same thing there is definitelly sth wrong going on. Childishly expressed or not
I am mostly upset at the pc controls but it is nothing.compared to black screen, freezing game, gender-bendered or mute characters etc other less fortunate players encountered l
This release is a mess. Not the worst one in the world but in my experience the worst one among modern Bioware games

Bugs like that are sadly par for the course. KOTOR was a broken mess when it released on PC. Mass Effect 2 on PS3 launched with a bug that froze your game and corrupted all of the saves within a career (this happened to me at the end of my second playthrough). Although that was fixed, ME2 still clips off the end of all dialogue lines, forcing you to read subtitles to know what the character said. That wasn't fixed.

Don't you just love non-PC gamers coming and telling PC gamers that they should just shut up and play the game, regardless of how bad the PC version is ? People paid 90 bucks, sometimes 100+ bucks depending on the region for the game and they have a right to want the best optimization for it.

In any event, I am glad I decided to wait for patches and fixes and lower prices to buy the game. I have been a PC gamer my whole life, I have been using mouse & keyboard my whole life, I have never used a controller and I do not see why I should use one or get one just for this game.

Yea the general message of this thread is good. The game should be optimized for PC. But holy balls it's not that serious

Everyone, deescalate please.  Some people have issues and want to share them.  That's fine.  Not everyone is going to agree on the same thing.

I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other if someone wishes to say that they think the controls are fine, but it's important that neither denies the experience that the other is having.  It's not particularly productive for anyone to come in and tell people that aren't pleased that they are wrong or whatever.  Please disengage.
