Everyone, deescalate please.  Some people have issues and want to share them.  That's fine.  Not everyone is going to agree on the same thing.

I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other if someone wishes to say that they think the controls are fine, but it's important that neither denies the experience that the other is having.  It's not particularly productive for anyone to come in and tell people that aren't pleased that they are wrong or whatever.  Please disengage.

Is that easier to use on M/K or controller?  :D

sorry im being a smart ass and impatient due to being UK  :(

I love using the controller on pc it's so comfy and I am the definition of an origins nazi don't believe me check my brief post history.

The game isn't perfect I'm having crash issues still and I haven't drank all the kool aid yet but it's still fun and it's new over all I'm enjoying it.

Thank you
We needed that
I have nothing against people enjoying DAI as it is now. We just want to express our concerns about bugs or/and clunkiness

Which is fine, and good, the more that gets expressed the more they know what to do.  However, some people (not pointing fingers) are going about expressing it the wrong way

Trolling or insulting them does not help
Plus even calm complainers get treated like they committed a sin against the Maker Almighty

Enjoying mine just fine on PS4

I loved DAO and tolerated DA2.

Though I am not much of a "Tactical RPG" kind of guy. I prefer the DA2 style fighting.

Played 6 hours now and man, this game... it's so focused on exploration the quests and combat really suffer in my opinion. It feels like an MMO.

Game is AMAZING on PS4.

so much this. feeling the roar of a dragon in your controller and knoing "nope, not this way, imma dead i keep going forward" is just one of the neat little nuainces on PS4, quite liking the game so far. not origins, but DEFINITELY not DA:2 either. just the fact that there is so much to DO makes me happy! and on top of that, other than the headache with getting the reapers items i have noticed very few bugs. very stable game so far

BioWare,
I was one of the faithful, I suffered through Dragon Age 2, and hoped 3/Inquisition was going to be better - you'd promised me that it was. You promised me that it was going to be like Origins, and not the combat mess that 2 was. Well, with shitty controls, no real tactical combat, and a point and Diablo click with buttons, without being able to toggle auto run, or move with a mouse. You have delivered a steaming piece of ****. Absolute ****.
Are you guys happy with this steaming control mess that you've made? Are you happy knowing that you guys went from being my number 1 game design company, to the absolute worst company ever?
The fact that you somehow belched this control scheme into existence, that you made a complete mess of a game world that WAS SO PERFECT WITH DRAGON AGE ORIGINS. You turned a beautiful PC game, into Skyrim, without the controls, without the sense and feel of a tactical rpg, and whats worse was - you marketed it as a spiritual successor to DA1/O.
How you guys even call yourselves Bioware anymore, I have no idea. Thanks for ruining it, between this, ME3, and DA2 I've lost all faith in your company.

I agree wholeheartedly. I can't begin to tell you how angry and disappointed I am. I was looking for a computer game, a real PC RPG game that was supposed to rival DAO or ME3. What I got was a horrible port of a Xbox game that is terrible. If I wanted that type of psuedo-RPG, then I'd buy a damn Xbox. This DA:I actually makes DAII look good and that's pretty bad.

Half the time, I can't find my mouse pointer, it gets lost or disappears. The character movement is jerky and cumbersome, making combat a pain in the butt, and since there is more combat than plot, playing this mess is going to be painful. BioWare. you should be ashamed of yourself. With each game release in the Dragon Age franchise, you seem determined to destroy it. The legacy that Dragon Age: Origins promised and that Dragon Age II totally missed the boat on, is finally dealt a death blow in Dragon Age:Inquisition. I'm done with you guys.

I've read the negative user reviews on metacritic and what really concerns me is that most of them appear to be genuine, or at least they explain their reasoning in some detail. Oh well I'll just have to wait until Friday to get my heap of crud through the post. I'm not buying computer games again because the hype always leads to the same result. The initial complaints seemed to be about the UI mainly and the tactical camera, and I thought I could persevere with that, but now it seems to be branching out into every aspect of the game.

So we've got Bioware's equivalent of a Rome 2 TW release then it seems? Are these guys trying to compete??

As a PC player who is going to pick up his copy in 24 hours and has the "option" of buying a controller at the same time would it be possible please if some of the more calm players could describe in a small amount of detail of what the actual differences are in using a game pad?

One of the biggest gripes i've heard is that the TAC cam is "no good" So why is using a gamepad better? Can you still move about the playable area like with WASD? Does it zoom out further?

How is the actual combat better with a gamepad etc etc. I've been a PC KBM player for my whole gaming life and don't really know much about gamepads and am not really rolling in cash atm but would buy a controller if the differences really were tangible as i've been looking forward to this game for so long.

Thank you in advance if some find the time to help me out.

Seems to me that a LARGE majority of the complaints are coming from the PC crowd.

Meanwhile the PS4 people (myself included) are enjoying it just fine

I play with mouse and keyboard on PC and I'm slowly getting used to the somewhat clunky, actiony combat. So far, I find the other aspects of the game fun enough to make that learning effort. The tactical camera is disappointing though. Grappling chain, for example, only seems to work in action mode - when used from tac cam, the chain will hit but then fall off without any effect. I had planned to use tac cam a lot, but now I find myself avoiding it. Pity.

I loved ME1-3 and DA1+2 . DA:I is a steaming turd with keyboard and mouse. Plus it's buggy and crashes often.

I just asked for a refund. Seriously, Kingdom of Amalur is better than this game (which is what it most resembles)

I'm very disapointed - looking for an RPG like Fallout3 and DA1 not his console action game.
