Look at Mike Laidlaw's twitter https://twitter.com/Mike_Laidlaw. How can one "get his [copy] on PC DVD-ROM"? :D

Thanks .. Mike's twitter is answering questions and providing helpful tips.

Where did you buy it from?

pre-ordered the game, in June of this year, at EB Games in Canada. Specifically asked for PC media.

Media, btw, is 8GB per disc. Make sure your CDROM drive can read dual layer media.

I got 4 discs. Install time = 50min

I'm loving this game too! I just wish I could capture those adorable nugs and fox squirrel things to keep as pets. I spend enough time chasing them around just to see where they go.

I am one of the, seemingly few, people playing on PC who has had zero issues regarding technical issues. I preloaded the game, and it ran like butter on the highest settings right at 10pm on Monday night. For that I am very grateful and hope that the people that are experiencing those issues quickly get them resolved, as there are plenty of other things to complain about the PC version.

Per the people stating that this is just "bitching and whining", while the story is engaging and the characters are well written (thus far in my playthrough, I have yet to reach Skyhold, I tend to sidequest far too aggressively) and the setting is beautiful, there is very little else to recommend this rpg on, at least on PC.

The combat fall flat, and with the lack of healing capability from a mage, and no tatics from the AI, the fights are reduced to zerg as fast as possible on the more difficult encounters before running out of potions. I am playing on nightmare with a KB+M, since I apparently hate myself, and have yet to find an encounter at ~ roughly my level that was legitimately challenging. I tend to avoid fast traveling in large games as much as I can (farcry, Skyrim, etc) so that I can lose myself in the world as much as possible, but the constant need to treck back to camp to restock has already seen me zipping around the map, simply out of expedience.

The lack of attribute min/maxing further diminishes from the player capacity to mitigate the lack of tactics. The "tactical" camera is nearly useless, and I won't expound on why, as many have done so at length, both eloquently and accurately.

And while I enjoy a good Console vs PC war as much as the next person, the lack of distinct and direct development of a working and optimized PC version is frankly insulting from EA (to be expected) and from Bioware (which is more solemnly disappointing) for a series finale which got its start on the PC with DAO.

What is it with this forum and its inability to accept critique? Apparently being unhappy due to bugs, clunky everything is "trolling" and we should be happy that the game even runs

Oh, wait

For some people it doesn't even work at all

What is it with people and their inability to accept that some people would rather praise than complain about every single bit.

Having the game unable to run and bugs is an issue that happens to ALL games on release; this is no exception. So let the people who are happy about the game be happy about it and stop being so bitter in a positive thread.

I'm loving the game so far.  (On PS4)

I think part of the prevalence of complaints on the forums is due to this: If your game is running fine then you're most likely playing it instead of commenting on it, whereas if you're having bugs you hop on the forums.  I'm not dismissing those who have problems; I just find it unlikely that the percentage of people who can't play is nearly as high as you'd expect from looking at the forums.  I for instance only visited the forums because I'm at work.

The only issues I've noticed so far are limited selection of moustaches and goatees, facial hair attachment issues and my companions rocketing around in the background while I have a conversation.  Those are all minor issues.  Like I said, I'm really enjoying the game so much so that I have yet to touch my copies of GTA 5 or Far Cry.

My condolences to those of you who are having issues though.
