Hey everyone,

With game launches starting off today and everyone live for end of week, we've activated appropriate subforums to help keep similar topics together.

All boards require a Dragon Age game (any of them) attached to an account to post, with the following exceptions:

  • Both Scuttlebutts
  • Feedback and Suggestions
  • Story, Campaign, and Characters

As always be respectful for people having different opinions about game features/story/etc.  If you have any issues connecting to the forums please let me know!

Allan

Yes, thank you... but... where is the subforum for each multiplayer class?

I have created a couple threads regarding this matter in the feedback & suggestions section and in the combat strategy multiplayer section.

A subforum for each class will assist us in concisely picking apart the meta, team composition and more importantly, aside from keeping the forum tidy, it's a place for us the community to dissect each class in all of its aspects within its own space.

The Devs did such an amazing job with the uniqueness of each class that personally, I feel it's an injustice, for each class to not have its appropriate subforums.

Example:
Section > Multiplayer > Classes > Archer, Legionairre, Mage, Necromancer, Hunter... etc.

Since the new sub forums are gone live, i seem to be unable to post in the multiplayer forum? (and maybe others too)

The main forums (e.g.: http://forum.bioware...mbat-strategy/)says:  You cannot start a new topic

While a thread (e.g. http://forum.bioware...-in-this-game/ ) says:

  • You cannot reply to this topic

I haven't been that bad already surely to be banned from posting?

Posting is fine some places, like here, and i can reply to threads in multiplayer which i've already replied to via my profile links.

Yeah, now wake up and answer to questions people have already posted. You're getting paid for doing nothing. Do your job already.

Hey I see that you're new here.  I recommend not being a jerk to the devs.  It's quite a rude thing to do after they worked so hard to make this game for all of us.

Allan's full-time job is not sitting on these forums, actually.  I'm sure the reason you are not seeing immediate 24/7 reaction from him is because he is off doing his job.

Now, this game only launched a few days ago, and there is a lot of activity on the boards right now.  Devs don't always have time to get to every question, and often they cannot directly respond to those questions for various reasons.  It could be that they're taking those questions to the powers that be to see about resolving the issue.  It could be that they're not allowed to speak about particular issues until they are resolved.  It could be that they just don't know and are waiting for an answer from someone else.

Take a deep breath and play the game for a while.  I'm sure you will find it much more pleasant than getting angry.  ^_^

I recommend not being a jerk to the devs.

I recommend them not being jerks to us and develop a working PC ver... oh wait, it's already out and its awfully optimized and got a tonload of issues!

I'm sure the reason you are not seeing immediate 24/7 reaction from him is because he isoff doing his job.

I was referring to all the dev team, not just him.

Devs don't always have time to get to every question, and often they cannot directly respond to those questions for various reasons.

Thanks for clearing this up, but I used to work both as support and community manager and my first priority was a communication with players everywhere. Our game had a bunch of issues, even more then DA: I, but I answered all the questions, including repetitive ones. And it was a small company and a small game (but more issues, yeah). What do we have here? A big company, a several million buck project, a big team and... a couple of responses from devs. Btw there IS a community manager and I've informed him, but he hasn't replied to any of the topics. The guy makes several thousand bucks a month and doesn't do his job at all. So the conclusion is: they have time to get to every question and can directly respond to those questions. I say this because I did that.

Take a deep breath and play the game for a while.

Take a deep breath and play the game on PC for a while. Play it on normal difficulty, using "tactical camera".

I'm sure you will find it much more pleasant than getting angry.

Yep, the game is good. But controls and optimization ruin everything. Oh, and also dev team arrogance.

It's "over" a hundred hours. Adding all the side missions/quests.

Trust me, you will get absorbed. I lost two whole days. Yesterday and the day before. I literally had to force myself to not play today so I can get some things done in my life.

This game is extremely addictive. Be warned.
Great Job Bioware! Wonderful masterpiece!

REGARDING BUGS/ISSUES:
People make me laugh! I had no idea humanity has evolved into such a perfect society, to where, we are "supposed/expected" to create bug/issue free games especially one at this huge magnitude and scope.

I was not aware we as humanity had developed sophisticated, intelligent AI systems, that can hunt trillions of bugs in a nano second to afford us the luxury of bug free perfect games.

To those having problems that can ruin a save game or campaign progress. I am truly sympathetic for your issues. That can suck. Most of you however are smart enough to know, it's to be expected because we live in the real world and usually you go and report it in a bug thread or something. Kudos to you.

However, the whiners, complainers, calm down. If you are to young to know how it works... Let's run it through:

Game comes out, (WILL have bugs/technical issues) people play it, bug reports start coming in. After 1-4 months of bug reports. Devs come out with patches.

For you to even come here and complain in a way that sends your message across as if, you feel, Bioware can snap their fingers and magically out of air make the perfect bug patch appear.

Like if there is not millions upon millions lines of code. Which must be reviewed, added to, fixed, tested, retested to make sure this new patch does not release with a few/many bugs of its own.

You dudes are really delusional and must not have true responsibilities in your life. Otherwise, you would know, how things really are, in the real world.

ALLAN, BIOWARE:
Kudos Bioware. Thanks to all of you for this masterpiece. I hated you for part 2. Now though, redeemed in every way. Just communicate with us with what you plan to do as far as patches/DLC. Keep us core fans/consumers in the loop. Again, thank you for the hardwork. The love you guys have for the franchise fully comes through in both areas, campaign and multiplayer. I am playing the XBox One version.

You make me sick... Its not our fault that Bioware and dude's sell's sh*tty UI and KB+M controls game. They are the one's to look in the mirror. And talking about the super bad changes from older DA's.

This made me mostly mad:

That can't be legal to advertise for PC and it works better with Controller (Xbox/Ps Controller ain't standard on PC.)

What the hell? Did I hear her right at the end, when she said "We hit A and then everything went well!". As in, they were using a console controller on a PC game, built by supposed PC gamers for PC gamers? A controller that isn't supplied as standard, because there IS no standard out of the box PC solution?

Does someone from Bioware want to chime in right about now? Because this video is COMPLETE misrepresentation of an out of the box DA:I PC experience.

I also cannot post on a few of the new sub forums. It sucks that I can't post on Combat & Strategy and Customization.

Well, is it just me or have you all noticed that every single item you get from the war table that is not an amulet is obsolete.  For example let start with the very first mission where you get the fereldan captain longsword.  You would think hey a Tyrn just gave this to me I bet its pretty good.  Nope its not just another item to sell.  I have noticed that every single item that I have gotten from a mission on the war table basically is just something to sell never worth equipping .. just saying I haven't experienced that  "OMG THAT IS A F**** NICE ITEM I BETTER EQUIP THAT NOW MOMENT" even the Tyrda bright axe item after 20+ hours of waiting :P you get it and its like okay another item for 16 gold.  Maybe if there was a "random" element there I don't know.. small percent that it could be a great item for example not way OP just something to last awhile.  Also, would be nice if the maps would scale to the characters level so every map would be a tough fight.  So if you put off Crestwood for awhile then come back its not a cake walk.  Futhermore, if looted items would appear on the mini-map as a different color than sign posts/ladders would be less of a hassle.
