Sorry to post this, I imagine its been answered somewhere but I cannot seem to find it.
I installed the toolset but now I want to remove it. When it installed I got a single error that said Cannot install file uninstall.exe The only way to deal with it is to hit ignore
I tried re-installing the program but I get this error every time.
I tried to remove the program using control panel, but all it does is remove the toolset from the list of programs, it does not actually uninstall anything.
So there is no uninstall.exe file for me to use and no way to use control panel. Is it safe to simply delete the tools folder inside the common folder?
I am running the game using Vista and on steam.
Thanks.
Cannot uninstall toolset because uninstall.exe failed

Yes and no. To manually uninstall the toolset you may want to also:
- delete the registry settings (I've no idea what it adds other than the installer's entry)
- uninstall the database - this should be easy. In add/remove programs there should be an entry for sqlexpress 2005. You can uninstall it from there (uninstall the toolset first though).

when you installed the toolset, there was an error that you 'ignored' when writing to 'c:\\programfiles\\common\\Bioware'. I had to manually make these directories during install, so that the toolset could 'uninstall'. You could try installing the toolset again, with this directory premade, then uninstall it. That worked for me.

Looks like I've got the same issue, but how exactly does one install with the directory premade, as Hammer Fang suggests?

To make the directory that it wanted to install to, make the folder called BioWare in program files / common files .
Directory done
