Everyone seems to be posting feedback on the game and not things related to spoilers, so I am using that as my excuse to type this.

Do not, on any grounds, trust the user reviews on metacritic, if you want opinions then pay attention to the genuine criticisms in these forums (some are angry and annoying but a few do give proper feedback) and decide from that if you want the game.

Seriously, there's a reason websites do not get any guy off the street and ask him to review a game, these people are not proper reviewers and have no idea how to score games. There are scores of zero on the pc page for Da Inquisition, whether you are currently enjoying the game or not, it is not worthy of a score under four.

There will be a lot of people on there using it to give the game a bad name because of their hatred for Ea, or because they want to joke. They are anonymous on there, so you can not do anything about their scores.

This is just me giving friendly advice, judge the game on the opinions of mature people on these forums, and of gameplay videos and reviews (yknow, the ones done my people who review games for a job)

Do not trust metacritic, if someone slightly dislikes a game on there then they give it a one or two most of the time, and most of the reviews are either, one: based on personal opinion or two: done by people who moan and would make terrible reviewers.

What can I say, except stupid people shout the loudest.

I'll get the game on the 20th here in Finland, and while the comments about the PC UI are concering, I really doubt it'll come even close to ruining the game for me.

Most gamer websites including Metacritic is the worst. I remember how bad DmC got bashed in reviews on the day of it's release because we all dated how the new Dante looked. While I agree and I hated the new DmC so many gave it a 0/0 without playing it becauseof how they hated how Dante was treated the same people revieiwng this so soon are people who hate EA and didn't like 2. The same people who b*itch just to b*itch. The same people that b*tched about ME3 after being given 4 satisfying endings. Yeh I don't let review sites influence me.

Infact my only issue with the game so far is that I can't play it because Origin won't update without having a error.

"It should take a few minutes to update." for two hours now. God I hate Origin.

Da2 shouldn't still be talked about here.

The ui doens't affect me so far (beause Origin refuses to install the game for me) while I prefer keyboard and mouse i have a xbox 360 controller to use on my PC aswell so meh. I am surprised the UI would be bad though considering it was always better for ME series.

Well, the PC UI is a disappointment. But if the game is good, it'll be playable. I could play Skyrim, and if DA:I isn't worse than that, then it's mainly a question of getting used to it.

...It just feels like they have broken a trust, and that is depressing.

Otherwise, I sort of expected and feared a great deal of negativism.

I'd like to remind of how viciously FO3 was attacked, before and immediately after its release, by old die-hard FallOut fans. Unfortunately, a game always tends to get sold by its prequel. We should not underestimate the amount of bitterness about the demise of the DA of DA:O out there (I'm bitter myself but have consciously decided to let go of DA:O). I'd like to remind of that also Skyrim's PC-controls were compromised.
As for bugs, they are normal and will be fixed.
I'd like to remind of that FO3 and Skyrim recovered from the initial criticism.

If DA:I isn't a good game, it won't, of course. But don't assume we know that it isn't good yet.

I loved DA2.  yes it was a disappointment at first but I quickly grew to love it.  I didn't care about the reused graphics areas I simply loved the game style.

DA3 is waiting at home for me to get off work and try it out

Anyway, who takes user reviews seriously? They're even worse than the "professional" ones.

Metacritic user game reviews are simply a reflection of how people feel about the game, rather than the game itself.

Whereas metacritic professional game reviews are simply a reflection of how good the game is, objectively. LOL just kidding on that one.

The 5.5 user average is a lot closer to a deserving score than the 8.8 from "professionals".

While I totally HATE his format, I generally agree with Angry Joes overall conclusions about games. And so far, he seems to like DA Inquisition.

User reviews and professional reviews are both worthwhile in their own way. If it wasn't for user reviews I never would have known about all the PC problems with stuttering, SLI/crossfire support and bad controls. If it wasn't for Professional reviews a lot of the best parts of the game might have gotten lost in the noise.

I get the feeling that a few people that dismiss user scores so easily are just angry that they didn't match their own feelings, like with DA2. Not universally of course, there are a few good reasons to not trust all user reviews (or all professional reviews even moreso), but a good portion.

Treat user reviews like you would treat other survivors in a post-apocalyptic zombie world...

Very carefully...

It dropped 2 from an 89 to 87. I think it's mostly the technical problems with the PC. Once those are fix, then it will be back up.

User feedback is always useful. If having the game control exactly like Origins, or having top-notch PC performance is a big deal for someone, then yeah it's useful that people point out those are flaws in the game.

What's useless is stuff like the Metacritic user scores. Score systems are just bad in general but the fandom wars of ''0/10, **** sucks'' vs ''10/10, perfect game'' are just embarrasingly stupid and a waste of time. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the scores have more impact on a game's reputation and people's spending habits than actual, constructive feedback.

Do not read anything that gives a 0/10. I don't care if the game is literally unplayable for the reviewer - it is clear enough that it works for most people on most computers, and a 0/10 is nothing to waste your time on.

Be skeptical of 10/10s. That should be a rare score and you shouldn't feel badly about passing over these reviews. Often they are 10/10 'to offset the 0/10s' but that shouldn't matter.

Anything from 4-9/10 may be worth spending your time and consideration on :)

The good thing about the current user review score average is that it might have Bioware perking up about just how many complaints there are about the PC version. PC players may be a fraction of your audience but they are also many of the loudest. Don't half-ass a PC version and its controls. Come on.
