Was disappointed by DA2 (first Bioware title I didn't bother to finish), and after the ME3 ending fiasco, vowed not to buy another Bioware title till after a few weeks of user reviews.

Was trolling the ME3 forums by happenstance last night because I had an ME3 multiplayer itch, and discovered that DA was launching their new title today.   I have had zero interest in DAI (since DA2 and ME3) and not followed it at all (still know almost nothing about it).  But then I was surprised to discover that it had an ME3 style multiplayer.  So I went out and bought it. Just like that.

Never would have thought a year or two ago that I'd buy a Bioware title mainly for the MP.  LOL.

To me i play dragon age because of its fantastic story ( like mass effect) i could never dream of buying a game for just its multiplayer.

I bought it for the single player.

You can play the multiplayer part for me.

You're probably one of the select few people that would buy a DA game for the multiplayer.

Or you're a MP dev's sock puppet trying to justify their existence. :D

How is it?  I'm going to try it out after the campaign.

It's not the main thing I'm playing it for. To me it would be like playing Battlefield just for the story.

Pretty much this.

Also there's a thread up saying that mikes stay open during MP?   Man I don't care if it's the greatest MP in the history of the world I'm still not touching it till that fixed.  Really don't need to hear a bunch of doods breathing heavy for any extended period of time thank you. I'll check it out at some point though.

I would've bought it regardless, but when I found out about the MP, it certainly became a priority. The ME3 MP was a ton of fun, and DAMP looks great as well. From the streams I've seen, it reminds me of a classic pen and paper dungeon crawl.

No, but I briefly considered NOT buying when MP was announced.

Main reason I'm going to buy it (eventually) is singleplayer. However, in the long run I'll probably play DAMP more if ME3 was any indication :D

Troll.

Bioware and Multiplayer don't even go in the same sentence.

ME3 multiplayer felt like an underdevelloped afterthought tacked to a microtransaction system. It still boggles my mind to see that people continue playing despite the quantity of offerings from studios specialised in multiplyers. Even Borderlands multiplayer feels more like RPG offshoot. So yes, DA MP isn't something I'm looking forward too and I won't play it if it's as barebones as ME3's.

Nope. No interest in the MP at all.

It seems to me that games developers like to add MP because they see it as a way to increase replayability once the SP campaign has been completed. However, if the story and characters are engaging (as they were in DA:O), then the game already has replayability. How many times have people replayed DA:O? I must have played it at least half a dozen times, possibly close to a dozen, and - from what I've read in these forums - it seems others have played it far more than that.

Unlike some, I've no problem with the MP option being there (as long as it doesn't affect the SP campaign, obviously!) but I have no intention of playing it.

MP for me is completely irrelevant. I might try it a few times but I doubt I'll spend any significant amount of time on it.

If I can't mute people I'll never play it

MP is actually fun. It's like Path of Exile Extraordinaire.

Assuming Path of Exile was big success, DAMP could be not bad at all, if they deal with some issues, but there signs that they will. So, it is promising.
