I have had to assign the same command sometimes multiple times for them to get to do it. particularly with reviving and with rift closing. If I give my main the command to close a rift sometimes they just keep autoattacking. 

Similar results when trying to revive somebody, only it happens with any character not just the main. They just keep autoattacking instead, or stand there doing nothing until I tell them to do it twice or sometimes three times.
