So, I've managed to play a fair bit of the multiplayer, even with the horrible desync/lag issues.

I'm not in the position to unlock a one character, either a Warrior or Rogue (I don't have enough Cloth for a Mage).

But the single sentence the game provides to describe the classes means almost nothing and with the exception of a thread on the Alchemist further down this forum, I've not been able to find any real information on the skills/play style of the other classes.

Does anyone have any information?

I was thinking one of the Warriors would perhaps be more useful (I usually play Keeper), as Rogues or at least Archers are common as mud.

You have Reaver who sacrifice own health for damage but can lifeleach, Katari who is guy who one fights many, he is 2h melee area fighter with abilities to get decent defence, Templar is tanky female who have increased powers against demons and abit like paladin. It you take Tank > DPS scale i think its Legionaire > Templar > Katari > Reaver Where Legionaire it tank extraordinaire, Templar have some buff/utility and support stuff, Katari straightforward Sten-like character, and reaver is dps , life leaching etc.

From rogues there also Assasin , she is more movement / tactics oriented st melee rogue fighter , while alchemist bit more goes towwards some rogue tank, crit-based dps,  utility/cc and aoe. Hunter is supposed to be Archer Trapper with some stealth.

Just want to point out that reaver can be made quite tanky.
I was tanking for all my groups as reaver, which is nice because as far as I've seen its the only class that can heal, it does awesome damage, and it does have defensive skills and taunts too. You just have to spec with tanking in mind.
(The damage you inflict to yourself is easily healed through, and the taunt shout has crazy range and adds bonus hp to yourself as well)

thnx for fix , i am more into rogues, so judging from  "away" viewpoint, that all others are more often tanky. Wariors, as general, more tanky than rogues and mages.

rogues have only one class that can tank some, and it could not compare to warriors still.

Reaver sounds interesting, would be nice to see the skills to figure out a build.

Wish I was paying attention when salvaging too, really short on Cloth but no idea what gives it.

Salvaging staffs seems to give cloth from my experience

Yeah, Cloth seems to be very underrepresented in DAMP.  Hopefully Bioware can remedy this but given that most Mage class armors cost 10+ cloth to build it is a daunting situation when I can make just about every Warrior and Rogue without much issue.  Perhaps RNG is to blame but so far all of my friends are experiencing the same issue so I doubt that it the case.

In case anyone is interested, if you find a lesser rune you don't need to use, you can salvage those for 3 random? (it could be 1 of each type, but I seem to recall getting 2 of a type a few times) mats, so that might be worth losing the rune if you're only 1 or 2 away from crafting something.

There is no excuse for this info not being in the game, I agree, but the game's wikia will have more complete information soon enough, I think. It depends on people contributing to the articles when they unlock kits.

When the HQ opens (like ME3MP's N7 HQ), all this information should be in one place and easily accessible.
