Well, I'm very pleased to report that the Dragon Age franchise is alive and well.
I played Origins in 2011 and fell in love with the DA universe. I must have played the full game 4 or 5 times, read the novels and the comics. I felt an attachment to this world and to the characters that I only felt for the Mass Effect franchise (let's forget that ending for a second) in all the videogames I ever played.
When DA2 came out, I couldn't believe BW had made something so bad and I was convinced they had killed this very promising IP.
Well, after about 8 hours exploring the world of DA:I, I am already able to say that the BW I loved is back.
The game is beautiful, fun and challenging (playing on nightmare). The characters seem fleshed out and interesting (I have only broached the surface of the storyline as I am only exploting the Hinterland for now).
I feel like I did when I played Origins and I am willing to completely lose myself in this world once again.
So, thank you BW for not losing faith after the DA2 debacle and for proving to us that you still have the ability to make unique roleplaying games.
Please, keep on making us dream with the next ME and in your following IPs.
