I would love a mirror, or at least a console command that opens up the CC and allows you to edit. The creator was a bit confusing to me because it was arrows in a square and it was difficult to tell what it was doing. My character looked fine, even when I looked at different angles, but came out with some flaws that are becoming increasingly difficult to deal with, and after 40 hours in game I'm not looking to restart.

Has anyone seen anybody from Bioware comment on the possibility of this?

They seem to be extremely quiet on the matter. My guess is they plan on selling it as part of some DLC down the line.. which I think is extremely annoying, because you know that they know 100% how much it's needed.. and there's absolutely no way it was a "time" thing.

I'm amazed at the amount of content in the game yet somehow every time I'm impressed it just makes me more flabbergasted that a mirror is not already here.. especially given how popular it was in DA:2. Probably the only popular thing from DA:2.

My thoughts were similar, and it would be pretty poor taste if they released it as DLC. Skyrim has console command that opens up the character editor. No reasons Bioware couldn't do at least that. ^^

I have this issue on female characters in most games.  The issue with the hair in this game has made this a big mess for me.  I am feeling I will not be able to get the look I want with the current options I have.

Adding to the voices to please get a character remake in game. The current system is horribly limiting and females end up looking strange once you are out of the character creation

I desperately want to have face codes or some kind of face transfer. I really like the face I made but I have a bugged quest and need to restart and I can't seem to replicate the face.

Also adding my voice to this... got around 20ish hours in and really don't wanna start over just to have a less goofy-looking inquisitor. :(

Would be nice if they'd at least add the console like others have suggested. :)

Just another poster in agreement with the rest. It's terribly frustrating to have to keep remaking characters so that you can stand to look at yourself when you play. I finally made a character that I think looks great, but wish I made another class. I din't have the foresight to write down the settings. It would have been great if that was built in as well.

I also had some trouble with some of the makeup sliders. They didn't seem to stay the color that I chose when I went to another slider. Also, I chose black hair in the making of my character, but it somehow is brown in game. Don't know if I somehow messed that up. Anyone else have the same issues?

@ Aija: How the black hair looks varies wildly. In different lighting, it can vary from dark brown to blue black to a grayish blackish color.

It's pretty annoying that there isn't a mirror like DA2. That saved me from having to constantly restart my game to get my character right. I've restarted DA:I like 20 times trying to get a character to look right

Poor taste? Yes.

Would I pay for it? Absolutely.

My first human female character grew on me, eventually.  I also just made an elf that i gave one of the "hair on top" looks, simply so I would have less to distract me from the game.  :D   I have to say the hair is for the most part, dreadful in a 90s system hair sort of way.  You can almost make it work and then you get in game and the outdated/primary facial animation and garish lighting only seems to make it worse somehow.  That first animation clamoring up the hill, I always look part-ape... haha

Some of the cutscenes at Skyhold have better lighting though, and my character ends up not looking too bad (the human girl anyway.)  My elf is dreadfully thin for a Dalish.  You would think she would be better with a bow.  Ah well.    I did notice strategically placed chests that I assume are a storage feature at a later date.   I hope they also add more hair and a way to respec/mirror your appearance for tweaks.   (or ability to mod the game, though I understand the engine makes this difficult).

I would also love to change the female walk cycle - add in custom animations.  I have feminine little characters walking like big tough men in diapers.  I mean, it could happen....but really, should it?

I've started the game seven times - and I will start it again. Just to get the Qunari female to look the way I want IN GAME... it drives me crazy!!! I would love to play the game now. Why isn't there at leat a console command for the character creator???  Please Bioware...

The lighting in the character creation screen really screws us over, it's so dark you don't really see what you get. I spent and hour the other day creating a character just to find out he had lipstick and blush when I got ingame. Nothing else to do but restart.

If you are creating a female human or elf, might not be able to make it look right because of the lid bug, see here: http://forum.bioware...elf-pc-version/

I don't know if this happens in consoles, but PC version is affected.

Because of this I really hope they add the option to enter character creation once in game.

+1 for this.

I get that changing race and gender could break some of the decisions or quest trees, but access to cosmetic changes would be amazing.

I agree with all of the above people. I like my Inquisitor but I'd like to be able to make adjustments.

I'm also supporting all the posts in favor to adding a mirror like in-game editor, either as a free feature or dlc. The CC is very versatile, but is somewhat tricky with its values and for people like myself that have not so much free time to play, having to restart the game only to make a good looking character is very time consuming.

At first i was unhappy with the hair colour of my Inquisitor, but after 20 hours, she grew on me.

I want this too.  No way am I restarting over and over to fix my character's appearance.  Options to change the lighting and test facial animations would be helpful too.  I would settle for a console command, but it really should just be an in-game menu option.

I think the eye shape slider is buggy too.  If you move the slider, then hit cancel instead of accept, it doesn't entirely restore the previous setting and you get weird hybrid shapes.  Starting the slider from one end and moving back to the option you want before confirming seems to help fix it.

I think it has something to do with lighting and animated facial morphs, its way too exaggerated.

My inquisitor tends to look right the way I want her too, when in certain angles and a poker face expression. DA2 was really more appealing, DAI is more customizable however.

I'd definitely like something similar to the Emporium's mirror. It's frustrating to have to restart just to tweak something that seemed fine in the CC but looks odd in-game. It doesn't help that the CC lighting isn't the best, and you can't rotate your character's head downwards (my current character's jaw/chin looks really weird from some angles - especially noticeable in conversations and cinematic sequences).

Yes I'd love to see a mirror or compact to keep in your inventory so you can check/tweak your make-up/hair etc whenever and wherever you like. I would also be prepared to pay for that as a dlc.
