Your characters get uploaded to the Keep instead. In the tapestry you have the option to select your heroes (Warden and Hawke). Uncheck the box that says "Show Default Heroes" and you'll see your custom characters. Be warned though, it takes time for them to be uploaded to the Keep so you might not see them for several hours.

Also make sure your in-game settings allow for your profile data to be uploaded to the DA servers where they can be moved into the Keep.

And I have the same problem too.

My characters are not in my online profile or Keep. I have checked that everything is correct: My account is the same as in the game, the game is updated, I have activated the automatic upload in the options ... But the problem persists.

Make sure you aren't using the console in DA:O or DA2

It's probably better to fix the problems you have before making an entire new system and linking it to the old system that has said problems. But what do I know?

The old system could not be fixed without overhawling the last 2 games

I'm having the same issue with my DA:2 character. I use console, so are they just not syncing new profiles anymore?

Same isssues here, so I erased all my saves (well, copied them to another drive) and  created new characters, while logged in - and still, it will not work.

For the DA2, it says on the bottom that there is a new patch (1.03 I think it was) and why my Xbox 360 does not install it automatically. I have no idea.

Oh and thank you, Vermigs. I can't do that due to limited online issues atm, but I will try another day. :)

Yesterday, I tried to start anew, with a complete new character (see the above post) in DA2 and then it suddenly couldn't connect to their servers. I thought it was but a temporary issue....hmm (seeing how you can't make it work now, I wonder the same as you do now, Aethyta)

Update, as of today Sunday Dec 7 2014 12:50 (PM) European Central Time

Origin is now uploaded in the Tapestry for me.

No sign of my DA2 character yet. I just logged in with an old save, so I'll wait.

Anyway, Origin -> Tapestry is now working for me ;-)

~~~~~~~~~~
Update 2: Now, 15:23 (3:23 PM) CET, same date.
Now, it's working for my DA2 character as well in the Tapestry.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you all! :)
I'm having this problem as well - only ONE out of the many characters I've played is showing up in my online storage (and she's a character I only played until lvl 9).
I started a new character over the holidays to try and get all the accomplishments I could, and nothing is uploading. When I click on "Player Profile" in-game, it brings me to the Bioware web page saying that "This user has no Dragon Age Origins Data." Further still, when I try to manually upload the photos in my screenshots section online to the Bioware account, it says I've exceeded my data limit in my online storage, but I DELETED all my old screenshots online SPECIFICALLY so I could upload the new ones!
I've tried downloading the new patch, I've tried saving without mods, I've ensures the "upload data" box is selected in-game. I've tried EVERYTHING. Nothing is working, so I have no idea what to do.
Not only that, but Bioware isn't helping in the least. I've sent out so many emails and posted on forums - no one's getting back to me.
Dont bother trying to upload pictures. The site won't receieve data anymore.
If you really want a character in the keep download the stand alone character creator. Other than using them for a custom worldstate there is no point to uploading them
Bioware should really look into this. Why come up with this awesome concept such as the Keep and then have it so hard to use?
My Keep information as I mentioned in another thread, is showing me all the achievements my PC characters in Origins are doing. Such has Heavy Hitter. Romancing the Witch. etc. But its not showing me the characters who are actually getting these achievements. I can not find my PC character saves at all in the Keep for DAO but I can for the PS3 I have linked to the account. As well as both my PC and PS3 DA2 characters. Only my PC DAO characters are missing. Like I said its tracking the achievements of them but that's it. When I go to select my HoF, there is only my PS3 characters to choose from.
I wish it was as simple as before when you could just import a character from a previous title. DA2 had this for DAO. And the whole Mass Effect series was like this without a hitch I might add. Sure the Keep allows you to mix and match. But I'd rather have something that worked, then the Keep which hardly works at all.
We should have an option to import old characters and skip the whole Keep thing.
My first character which I used in DA:O+ with a shitload of mods, uploaded just fine.
My second character which I used in DA:O+ with just a few mods during DA:O (Extra Companion (Dog) mod and Skip the Fade mod, both which I also used during the first playthrough), the Silverite mine fix during DA:A and none during Amgarrak and Witch Hunt, hasn't uploaded yet...
In the meanwhile Liz Hawke which I created past minutes in DA2, already has been uploaded. WTF?
DA2 is a bit faster in uploading.
yeah my DA2 character uploaded within seconds of making her. And she hasn't even gotten into Kirkwall yet.
But my DAO characters? Not showing up despite the fact they finished the game.
So, it looks like like both DAO and DA2 characters are being uploaded directly to Keep now, albeit not momentarily?
Good, I've just started a new playthrough, from DAO all the way to DAI.
Would be sad if those characters didn't get to Keep after all.
Off topic question... but are the world states not loaded for incomplete character playthroughs? I have a playthrough going on in DA:O and I was trying to see if the changes I had made in the prologue were reflected in the tapestry or not. It doesn't seem like it.
I read through this forum and maybe I missed it but, I was having the same issue with my DAO character not uploading to the keep. I started a new game to see if that character would upload and that isn't working either. I checked to see if my game was connected with my PSN account and it is (I play a lot of my games offline). Not sure what to do but very frustrated. I want to play DAI!!!
Data from the saves other than name, portrait, origin, gender, class, and race is not imported for complete or incomplete playthroughs.
If you want to play DAI, just create the world state. You can recreate every detail of your character except for portrait in the Keep and that doesn't get imported into DAI anyways.
Hi all,
I have the same issue than a lot of people here.
I have played a lot of game cessions of DAO on my 360 but :
- no player profile in statistic,
- profile diagnostic says : "invalid personna / game combination"
However :
- my game has been correctly registered on BSN,
- I have no player profile on DAO
I understand that the DAO servers are offline, so even if I create a new DAO hero, this one wont be reported on my player profile.
Ok, I can use the DK to re-create the choices of my heros, but it's annoying because I have a lot of saves which are useless now. I have the feeling that my heros have never existed.
Please Bioware, fix this issue (reopening of the servers, transfer of the saves...).
If someone has a solution, he/she's welcome.
PS Sorry if my English is bad...
