Am I crazy or is it literally impossible to make the full beards all actually attach to the skin on their face? There's always this floating gap between jaw and beard and it's driving me insane. I can't make the jaw big enough to connect. I thought it might be better in-game, but the camera is always looking straight through to the background. Is there a dev reading this who might have a suggestion or explanation?

I have the same problem. It is quite irritating. I hope this issue is adressed in the next update.

No you are not crazy, something is wrong with the position of the beard models relative to the head.   I hope it gets patched ASAP.

Ah, shite. I was hoping there was a fix for this. I want a mage with a beard of course. Who ever heard of a male mage without a beard. Ridiculous. Gandalf wouldn't even be able to buy booze without it.

Hovering beards, since Origin. Lol.. Damn it, I thought they figured it out how beards work.

The only way to fix this is by having an Inquisitor with plump face shape or to max out jaw,chin and cheeks. But it will not work with most face shape, only a few can hold such beards..

Yeah, I really wanted my Inquisitor to have a beard, as he is a man, but they looked so god awful that I had to settle for heavy stubble :(

These beards look like Santas fake beard. As if they were made from cotton wool. I agree beards need fixing, and not just better attatchment to a face, but also more realistic look. I can't create a serious looking bearded human since DAO. They all look like clowns.

Not only the beards. The moustaches are all too low on the lip. The stubble reaches up to the nose but the 'welcome mat' starts half way down and ends up hanging over the lip so that every character looks like a young Wilford Brimley... not the look I want.

It may sound childish complaining that I'm not happy because 'I can't get the moustache and beard combo I want' but to be fair unless it's fixed it's more of a character limiter than a character creator (which has been part of the huge 'sell' on this game).

And that's before I start on about the English accent for the male human... Maker save us... he couldn't sound less intimidating or dramatic if he tried...

My overall first opinion on the CC is that it has many, many flaws which take the shine off the many things it does extrememly well, which is a real shame.

5 hours in; got to restart. Can't stand looking at my own Inquisitor...

It's worse for Qunari. At least the other races have some hair options to offset the plastic beard masks, Qunari only have three (not counting the bald styles).

Wanted to make a male Qunari. Sadly, he ended up looking like a bald devil man wearing a fake Halloween mustache, so I rolled a female dwarf instead. -_-;

I know what you mean I wanted a beard but all the moustaches looks like it's growing out of his actual lip >.> which with a beard makes it look like he vomited out hair and it poured down his face. though that might explain why the hairs just floating there

The only upside to the beard option is it doesn't do like Origins (and maybe DA2, can't remember) and turn your character into a gaunt walking corpse. XD

I'm sorry Bioware I've liked every game I've played of yours but COME ON! 3 games in and you still can't make a beard. game creating goes though alot of channels editors, play testers etc... and no one called BS on this after 3 games....

I think it's not such a big deal for pretty much all the cutscenes (and of course battle/exploration since it's further away) but yeah, hair just doens't play well in Frostbite 3 for some reason. Everytime you feel the Hair-rage coming on, just go to the Storm Coast and stare out at the amazing water effects, heh.
