For everyone even remotely nervous about the quality of the game: Stop worrying. Hands down one of the best games I've ever played.

If anything it will still be the best game you guys have played this year, unless you have a 3DS and Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright or something.

I've spent 23 hours - that's as long as some ME3 playthroughs I've had - and I haven't even gotten to the part where you get the Skyhold which is essentially this game's answer to the Normandy or DA:O Campsite.

Even if the story is ultimately nothing to write home about or if the game gets worse towards the end, I'll remember that 23 hours in I felt like I was playing one of the best games in recent memory. It doesn't alienate me like ME3 did compared to ME2 and ME1, and it makes me shudder when I think of DA2 (which despite all I didn't "hate" like many did)

If anything, buy it for some truly heart-warming character moments. Even your Inquisitor has more personality than either Hawke or Shepard (that is, ME1 or ME2 Shepard), and it's not because of autodialogue, in fact, quite the contrary thanks to some excellent design choices with the dialogue wheel. I love the dialogue wheel and honestly it feels better than ever. There is autodialogue but every sentence that characterizes your Inquisitor is saved for a dialogue choice, and there are even context-sensitive dialogue wheels that you can select during party bantering just when you're running around in the environments.

Oh, and the music will give you chills or at the very least make you feel something.

just got it not even twenty minutes ago. It's in my 360. All I have to do is press the Start button. I'm half-expecting something very terrible will happen, thus preventing me from playing the game. That would be just my luck. XD

COMMENCE!!!

I'm feeling pretty good that I've held out this long. ;)

I'll continue to watch what people say about the game, then maybe get it for Christmas provided certain bugs are stomped.

I have the game but can't play it because I don't have internet set up in my new apartment. I can always surf online on my phone but I can't play the game...it taunts me, to hold the box with the game and have my xbox set up but not be able to play for a few more days.

Urgh. I hate it that so many single player games require an internet connection. Last time the net was down I thought "No worries, I haven't played Mass Effect yet!" and installed it, thinking I'd be able to leap straight in.

Nnnnnnnnnnnope...

I'm waiting on a 360 copy, so...  Very low expectations at this point.

I've heard the graphics on last gen consoles are abysmal so your low expectations are probably warranted.

I'm really enjoying it, actually. The gameplay is great, and the graphics are awesome.

The main problem I have is that the text is so small that I can't read any of the quest notifications in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Otherwise the quality is great.

Agreed. I get that it's to avoid piracy but at this point it's just messing with players who want to just pay for and play their games.

Unfortunately, it's also to avoid resale and sharing to make people buy new copies..

Well if game companies want to treat us like criminals, maybe we should act the part more...?

The only time you need internet connection is when you're installing the game, right?
After that, we can just run the game offline.

I can wait.  There's just so many problem with the PC version right now and the game play isn't what I expect it to be.  So the hype is no longer there.  If this game is MODDABLE everything is forgiven.  If this game still isn't moddable down the road I will no longer care about this Dragon Age franchise except the first one.

Thankful my PC can't even run DAI. I pre-ordered the deluxe edition, but I'll only be able to play once I build a new PC in December.

Guess it worked out better this way. I get to do well in my exams and not be distracted. Bioware gets a chance to patch and fix some issues with the game. I get over a month in my holiday break to play it. Everything will work out perfectly!

(On the other hand, had this been the Next Mass Effect, I don't know if I would have the guts to resist playing. Well, I guess going from 5 hours of sleep to 3 hours of sleep per night wouldn't have been to bad, right ? )

I'm in the same boat, minus exams. My parts - esp. the graphics card - won't arrive until December. Until them I'm hoping Bioware fixed the major bugs, e.g. those relating to your gender or class which IMO are gamebreaking.
