I don't own a PS4 but I would like to try and help you.  Cross fingers.

Maybe this is a better one.

I got Dragon Age Inquisition today for the Playstation 4 and I got to play it for about 2 hours, I then properly shut down my console as I always do when I finished gaming, I also never let my console run for more than 4 hours at a time. I just booted it back up and it is in Safe Mode and I can't get out of it or shut down my console.

Here is what it looks like: 1.jpg

I've already tried options 1,3  and 4. Options 6 and 7 will delete everything. I was wondering if anyone knows what to do to get it out of it, because google has been of no use. I'm upset, I'm aware that Rest Mode can cause this, but I've never used it and I am the only user of my console.

I'd appreciate any help, I can't believe this is happening, I just want to play Inquisition. I'm trying to keep calm and composed, but it is hard, I'm very angry right now.

I just tried option 5 and it just brings me back to the safe mode screen like everything else I've tried so far.

I was getting ready to do what you suggested and it started working again when I had plugged the USB drive into my laptop. All of my data is gone, but it's a lot better than the alternative. I appreciate the help even though I didn't get to try it, it meant a lot just to have someone else there for me. I was freaking out pretty badly.

I know the feeling of investing hundreds of dollars on hardware that suddenly stops working.  It's just plain agony.

I'm glad it started working for you. :)
