combat is the worst part about the entire game for me thus far since I've been playing on nightmare difficulty. You absolutely need the tactical cam but its inferior compared to dragon age origins. It doesn't let you zoom out far enough and the more you zoom out, the less you can look "up" with it. It's ridiculous. Combine that with the character-snapping bug and its like you have to force yourself to play it lmao....
My god, I'd be enjoying this game but this tactical camera is god awful. I don't understand why they didn't just copy-paste the origins cam. It was flawless.
I hated dragon age 2's easy mode made for consoles combat. But this tactical cam just seems like a lazy effort by bioware to be honest. It doesn't zoom out far enough and you can't freaking look UP the more you zoom out. Its idiotic.
This is the worst combat system yet.

People realize they can check the level of monsters right? I was trying to figure out why I was getting owned at a rift only to figure out the mob is level 12 while I am level 6.
Yeah, that went well...

Concerning the rolling: both warriors and rogues can get the ability to roll. I think it's called evade for rogues and combat roll for warriors. It will cost you one of your active ability slots to have this option during combat though.

So far, I'm pretty positive with regards to the combat mechanics. Unfortunately, actually experiencing those mechanics is a nightmare due to the dire control system.
