Oooh, so many cool sounding names! ![]()
My main warden, female Mahariel - Illadriel. It took me two years to pick a name I like for her. She had three other names before this, though thankfully I can't remember any of them. ![]()
Male Surana - Lyrium. He is originally from Orlais and since both of his parents were circle mages he was sent to the Ferelden circle. The thing is, Lyrium is mute and at that time illiterate so he couldn't tell his name. Other children at the circle started calling him Lyrium because of the color of his eyes and it just stuck.
Female Brosca - Natti. I was really lazy with this one. Just erased a second 'a' and added an extra 't' to the default name. ![]()
Female Tabris - Lianna. I was in a ASoIaF mood when I made her. Named her after Lyanna Stark, but they have pretty much nothing in common.
Male Cousland - Aerin. I just really liked the name. Only when I made him did I realized that I unintentionally borrowed another person's Cousland's name. ![]()
Can't be too many King Norman's I always say ![]()
I named my Dwarf Noble Lanoria, because when you put the sibling's names in order from youngest to oldest (Bhelen-Lanoria-Trian) you get 'BLT' haha.
My main Warden stuck with the generic name, at first because I thought picking the preset would make it so they would actually say it. The name ended up sticking though, so my City Elf's name remains Kallian ![]()
...All my other characters are usually based on supervillains/heroes and movie characters XD

City Elf is Shira, which is Hebrew for "song." Fitting for a bard/duelist character. =)
Mage Elf is Loa, which is a corruption of Haitian "Lwah," which is their word for their Vodou spirits.
Dwarf Commoner is Tatia, which is one letter away from Natia.
I have a pool of names I go back to again and again for RPGs. My stock bald, wisecracking male mage is named Gubbar, and I took him along on my first play-through. My brunette, even more wisecracking female mage is named Lesath. Ditto my dwarf names: Nurin (noble) and Olgur (commoner).
Kloreth the elf mage.
I want to play through at least the other origins, so I'm considering names for the others now.
Update, picked the names:
Aeryn Cousland (FW)
Zannah Tabris (FW)
Devras Mahariel (MR)
Drennan Aeducan (MW)
Jani Brosca (FR)
My 'canon' warden was a female elf mage. I just went with the default Neria Surana.
I also had Valora Cousland, Roland Cousland, Gawain Cousland, Rhiannon Mahariel and Melita Amell.
I went defaults on Daylen Amell, Kallian Tabris, Natia Brosca and Sereda Aeducan.
The default name: Aedan Cousland because it sounds awesome and hot
I named mine, Aeneas. After the Hero of Virgil's epic, "The Aeneid".
Dalish Elf-Arya
City Elves- Aranel, Lillian, Kallian
Human Mage-Cass, Solona
Elf Mage- Tanna, Katirel
Couslands- Brandon, Rose
For fun Hawkes- Ingrid, Addie, Brandon(not original I know)
Another pic...
Grey Warden Tiara Rose

Elf mage Marx.
My latest one is named Gerard Cousland, a human warrior.
Airen Surana
Garrett Brosca
Kariel Tabris
Morgana Amell
Neren Mahariel
Thorg Aeducan
Vazgen Cousland (canon)
Elaine Cousland (human noble archer)
Nelirea Mahariel (dalish dual wield warrior)
Tjorven Aeducan (dwarven noble two handed warrior)
Nell (elven circle mage)
Mine are really quite boring. But I'll share...
The first one's origin couldn't be more embarassingly mundane. I originally started playing on the PS3 and called my female cousland Loretta, which was the name of a woman that served me at the supermarket (I saw it on her name badge) a few days before. I thought what a pretty name!
After playing for a while on the ps3 I went out and brought the Ulitimate edition for my pc because I wasn't able to devote the time to play, given access to the TV was shared. I started a new female Cousland and this time called her Viola, after a romantic heroine character in one of my favourite Shakespeare plays, Twelth Night. The connection being that Shakepeare's Viola has a missing brother as well, whom she is not sure is alive or dead. If I recall correctly, they too, as brother and sister, are the last of their family.
When it came to my mage, I was completely stuck for inspiration and ended up calling her Emma, as I thought Emma Amell had an unlikely ring to it, despite being a bit of a mouthful to say.
I Named My Warden Marin he was a city elf i haven't finished any dragon ages but i'm getting all 3 for Christmas and my girlfriend gave me origins early and i'm working on beating it anyone have any tips!!
I named my female Dalish Elf Rogue Daphne, after myself and tried to customize her to look like me.Didn't really achieve the facial features 100% but skin tone and hair is more or less accurate.I have hair that is 3 feet long in real life so I chose the double bun braids which implies she has very long hair.Maybe I should look for a mod that adds very very long Tolkien-esque hair to my character.Hmmm...but I digress.
Before I ended up with this character I had created two more in the past but never really advanced their playthroughs. Both were Couslands.Don't remember the first one but the second one I named Visenya and modelled her with Targaryen features that include blonde/white hair, pale skin and purple eyes. (Visenya Targaryen is a character in the lore of George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire")
My first-ever playthrough was Feolinn Cousland. She was a warrior who grew quite adept at shieldplay and archery.
I'm now playing a mage named Alardrel.
Female Human Mage: Rayne Amell (My canon), Mackenzie "Kenzie" Amell (Made the US)
Female Dalish Elf Rogue: Ahri Mahariel
Female City Elf Rogue: Riven Tabris
Female Human Noble Rogue: Davia "Vi" Cousland, Isabeau "Bo" Cousland
Male Human Noble Rogue: Hector Cousland (In my fanfic, Bo and Hector are twins)
Male City Elf Rogue: Jarod Tabris
My first Warden was a male Human Noble I named Xerxes, and I've played through the whole story and all DLCs with him, He's still my MVP up to now. ![]()
Some other Wardens I have are Sage, a female City Elf, and Aerandir, a male Dalish elf.
