Looks like BioWare did in fact buy their rating from the reviewing companies. Can't wait to look at their Income statement and see what they wrote the expense off as

This here. Bare in mind also that thus far DAI has only released in the US, and really people, the actual valuable community reviews will take some time before the're written.

Metacritic is useless right now, word of mouth will tell us if DAI is quality or not.

You do know that falsely accusing others others trolling and abusing the report button is against the Site Rules don't you?

I find Metacritic to be about as valid as mainstream journalism...which is to say I don't find it valid at all.

 

Any system that 4chan can decide to bomb is not an accurate system of peer review.

 

But in all fairness, any system in of which the opinions of the media which informs the consumer can be bought and controlled in...is not an accurate system of peer review either.

 

The only way to truly judge this product is to either play it yourself, or have a good source for unmanaged review content that isn't financed by advertisments and hasn't been locked into a contract that states they can only say what they think is positive about a game.

 

Even Youtube isn't really safe from this stuff any more because companies that don't agree with independant Lets Play/Review's issue copyright strikes against channels that don't say what they want to hear, and openly fund channels that will say exactly what they're told to say.

 

So..yeah, Metacritic's user reviews are pointless, and most mainstream journalism reviews are just as pointless. You're likely to find more objective reviews of the game on Tumblr than you are on any dot.com gaming site, and definitely more objective than you'll find in the user review section of Metacritic.

If you average out the "professional" bought off reviews with the COMMUNITY reviews the game is averaging out at around a true 7.6 which is a reflection of what the majority of players are feeling.

Yeah I just need to type up my review on metatcritic too. This game is an absolute 0. Who are they bluffing? Where's my 240fps 8k resolution ultra high grafix smooth gameplay? What? Are you telling me I only need one keyboard? What the heck guys I bought two keyboards for this game!

I prefer to give my own rating when I get my hands on the game. There are things that most people like and others don't like; just like the daily life itself.
