I played the first two, loved them both in spite of the fact that the second one did not get good reviews. I watched a video about tactical view, wherein (just like with the other versions) you can target where you want your toons to go to set up strategic positioning. Im still in the learn as you play mode, my team is heading to what they are calling, the forward base or camp. I can control them individually. But when I go tactical, I cannot send them to various positions. The cursor does not light up/arrow plunger pointing down, as the various videos show. Ideas? Also, did they get rid of the click and move option for mouse driven play? Would appreciate any insights.

Are you in tac mode or just paused? You can point and click for movements in tac mode.

That's a poor substitute for being able to move. It can occasionally be useful to plan the movement of the group since in 'almost normal' mode the game immediately unpauses when you switch to another character, but on the whole it only gets in the way. Not to mention that the hit testing is some shite based on huge bounding volumes; combined with the broken camera this makes it sometimes impossible to click the spot where you want to move your toon, and it often requires excessive zooming and panning to find a camera position and angle that allows the click. Not to mention that changing camera elevation always carries the risk of terminating tac mode, with attendant consequences. Last but not least, turning tac mode on or off always f*cks up the camera; same for switching toons while in tac mode.
I guess they thoroughly crippled 'almost normal' mode in order to make people play with the neat glowing arrows.
P.S.: lest my critique give the wrong impression - I love all three DA games but I think fighting-wise DAO stands much taller than the others.
