Newb question...... Shepard doesn't get experience when doing kills in the Mako?

He does, but he only gains half the XP he would have while in the Mako.

My first play through and i was playing relatively in depth, but then i 'lost' my xbox to my stepdad for 6months and came back on and powered through the last part (save file loaded on the mako run to the camp where you can kill wrex) i managed to finish in 12:45 as a level 37 Adept.

people with these 10-12 hour playthroughs are BS unless you skipped dialogue and went just did main quest missions. prior to ME to I did a rocket run just doing MQ stuff, I did listen to the dialogue and it took about 16 hrs.

my first play i reached lvl 50, and it took me 51 hours. I spent ages talking to every character possible, listened to codex etc to immerse myself in the game. I finished every single mission / assignment I was given except the minerals

I didn't do a completionist run but i also didn't soley focus on the main quest. I'm honestly shocked it was done in 12:45, i thought i had invested a lot more time in it then that.

just to be on the safe side I'll ask here: since we're talking about game lenght can someone tell me how far I am in ME2; I've played 25 hours and am still on disc 1 and need to get the krogan and the biotic woman...is disc 2 longer than disc 1?

43 hours, and at lvl 51 with no DLC.

So i did playing the game Completed the Insanity playthrough and i did evering wat the ask and there were 3 bugs in the game, 1 big one whit that bomb, there was no fight whit that leader? and i got it only to level 54?
It played it in 54h.34m.. In the begin it was not easy but later whit upgrates it was great.

Ok i see you have to go out of the Mako to gat 100% XP, i did the most in the Mako, shiiittt.

If you go 40 a 50 hours out of the Mako that is 100% XP = level 60, i was almost in the Mako and on the end i got lvl 54! and looked al of the places and everting, Ahhhhh!
