Fade Shroud and "bad" looks...

I must say that the Fade Shroud talent, while very useful, kinda ruins the look of the character.
Almost all AW spend their whole time in an active Combat Magic, and do not ever turn it off. It has a very subtle magical aura that does not interfere with the look of the character...
... but Fade Shroud makes us look like Casper the Freakin Ghost.
Oddly, it does not click off for dialogue sequences or even kissing sequences.
I disliked it so much that I reloaded an earlier save and have skipped it entirely.
Combat Magic is an excellent talent, and the whole AW class is very, very popular, but I really do not want to look like a wisp.
So... I had a question for the community... feel free to disagree strongly.
Wouldn't Fade Shroud be better as an *extra* sustainable rather than a passive talent?
There are other talents that increase mana regen and are sustainables... but the wisp effect takes over the Combat Magic talents and makes them all bundled together.
I would use the Fade Shroud talent if it were an extra sustainable... but I cannot countenance it if it takes over my regular Combat Magic.
Who here agrees/disagrees?

So, the first sustained buff I put on is combat magic, then others to get rid of the white, but that can get annoying. I believe there is a mod to change that, but I don't really care to download mods atm.

personal annoyance remover
Makes all the sustain spell effects last only a second. That's the one I use. I also found this one that specifically just mentions the fade shroud effect: annoyance remover. Says it's not being updated anymore, but if you like some of the maintain effects that might be more your cup of tea.
edited because I can't type tonight

Unfortunately, I am a PS3 user...
*all point at Lakmoots and laugh*
Shut up!!
Also... the Rock Armor trick is a good one... I used that for a day or two...
Then reloaded and gave FS the flick... It is still too ghostly for me.

Hmmm... how bout "Self deprecating, smooth talking, self interested, good girl Troll".
You may need a bigger desk for that plaque though... or a double wide bridge!

And a side note about this class. Is it normal, or a bug that Blood Magic deactivates after every single battle?

I am saying that if it was an *extra* sustainable ability, then you could still have the power - but that it would not "overwrite" the Combat Magic talent...
Some of us wander around in CM all the time... in fact every AW I know does... and many do not want to be the wisp all the time.
If it was an extra sustainable, and not a passive add on... then you get the best of both worlds.

The solution is simply to use rock armor which is a must have spell for an arcane warrior anyway. I don't think that fade shroud should be an extra sustainable instead of a passive upgrade because in that case would cost more mana and cause more fatigue.
Rock Armor is not a solution.
It simply makes you look like a ghost instead of a wisp.
Plus...
If Rock Armor *was* the solution... then aren't you already using an extra sustainable and getting more fatigue... sorta self-contradictory!!
My solution is pretty much the same... and it is a "best of both worlds" solution.
Of course, highly unlikely.

The fact that it looks good or bad is just a matter of taste. some will like it, some won't. Actually, given the number of endorsements/download for the personal annoyance remover, there are a LOT of people that don't. That's why I'm happy that there's a mod to remove it.

Ummm....
Ummmm...
Y'know...
This *is* multi-platform...
Where can I get that for PS3... hmmm?
That is why I am demanding that my personal tastes be catered to in a fundamental way, based off my opinion only.
Surely you see the justification of that?
Oh... right... d'oh!

Is it? Well, yanno, it wasn't supposed to be, til Bioware decided to delay it 6 months to get a console version going. So be happy that you CAN play it

If only it looked like that on the 360. The glow isn't as subtle, and the partlicles look like magical floating lint balls on my console. Not to mention the huge comet-tail that follows you as mentioned by another poster. <Sigh>
