Can someone explain to me these skills,

Flank attack - Is flanking done by auto or manual?

Twin fangs - Is flanking done by auto or manual?

Rippling fangs - Is flanking done by auto or manual?

Parry - do you need to manually time the parry skill?

Deathblow - can I have an explanation of how this skill work?

Knockout powder - do enemies wake up from sleep if attacked?

Dude........I'll explain, but I want you to know I'm doing so with a disdainful sneer in your general direction because of your lack of reading comprehension. Flanking is attacking from behind, all skills are activated after you select them. Positioning is manual.
Flank attack is the exception WHICH IT SAYS IN THE DESCRIPTION.
Deathblow is a rogue skill that kills things. If you upgrade it, it has no cooldown. It does more damage based on the factors listed in the ingame description.
Knockout powder puts enemies to sleep as the name implies, enemies wake upon taking damage, the upgrade ensures you a little more time before they wake.

Get off your high horse, that was a legitimate question. The first two games were just shy of being turn based, particularly with abilities. Is it really that surprising that for some people the changes to combat will take some getting used to?

I'm not mocking his ability to implement the abilities, I very clearly state I'm mocking his poor reading comprehension. And lack of understanding of the word flank. And lack of ability to google the word flank.
I also explained without mockery the knockout powder/Deathblow part, because yeah, easy enough mistake to make.

You need to actually move your character behind the enemy, or maybe to the side of the enemy. You cannot be infront the enemy to be considered Flanking.

The game won't do it for your automatically.

So if you are face to face with an opponent you will not get the Flanking bonus.

I don't know about Parry.
