I'm on the PS4 version so I can't say if it works on other platforms.
If you are on the quest map, then press O and then immediately afterwards press X quickly the map will re-open only instead of it just being the areas you have discovered it is the entire map.
If you want to test this on your platform just close and re-open the quest map quickly.
I discovered this by dropping and catching my controller while on the quest map, my fingers hit O then X and my map loaded up this way. I can recreate it too. Try it out and see if it works for you.
