Tips

Do not check off PERKS .. as you can not uncheck them. I wanted to review them thought you clicked each one to review instead it is HOVER Over apparently. 

 

Do not put ANYTHING in move to valuables that you still want to use. Made that mistake lost my best armor piece, no way to retrieve it from the valuables inventory.. 

 

EDIT :  YOU can move things back I found out thanks to a post below.. Lame me I didnt scroll down with the left bar in inventory.. so assumed valuables was only accessed by vendor dooooh...  

 

OK so answer is yes you can move them back scroll down .. left scrolly bar.. click valuables   choose item youw ant to move out of there and click UNMARK for SALE. (bad choice of words ) I would have just put .. Remove from Valuables. just wierd. Anyway add more Things not to do if you find any!

I am certain these issues will be fixed with a patch, granted I have not had to return an item moved into valuables category.

I'm going to keep tabs on this thread to make sure I don't mess anything up. A note on your first point: have you tried using the re-spec item?

1. Perks do not activate for me unless you click them.

Would be nice to have a commit button kinda like with abilities though.

 

2. There is a button "do not sell" to retrieve equipment from valuables.

Iirc I was able to equip a weapon that was in valuables tab

Remember there is no way to move inventory pieces around. Its buy sell or modify thats about it. ( sad really)

There is a way to remove things from the valuables tab -- I don't recall specifically but if you press I for inventory and look in the valuables tab, there should be a button on the bottom that says do not sell or unsell or whatever.

My issue is I wanted the piece of armor moved back to useable not in valuable aand there is no way to move it from there. course if i sell it and buy it back maybe i can get it that way .. but will it pop back into valuables that is the quesiton. I was using that piece and wanted to continue to use it.. I may now have better so mute point but thought id mention to warn anyone else of my errors.

You absolutely can move items out of the valuables tab. I just did this last night to recover some armor. It's one of the options in the lower left.

Varsus thanks. I found that you are correct.. Ill edit that a bit above.. key to it is scroll down inventory list on left bar.. go to valuables and UNMARK FOR SALE it actually moves it back.. yay .. thanks for prodding me to look again!

Do not loot one of the bodies until after  Dorian is done talking to you when he first officially joins you, it stops you from being able to continue the conversation.  It works if you don't do that.

If you let a party member carry a veilfire torch, manually drop it (cast any spell).

 

Solas happily illuminated a couple of battles until I noticed and made him put it away.

Found another thing that is a good idea. Try to be sure you get all the visible diamonds (that are Shards in each zone early on) You will need them to pay for some door openings.. tip

Yes, in the Oasis location. You get permanent buffs to elemental resistances there for the pc.

Be careful when selling stuff, research items are sorted under valuables too.

It is best to go drop off your research items first (click on the research table) ALWAYS before selling "valuables", just to be sure not to accidently sell research items!

 

Really, research items should not have been put in "valuables" in inventory. I wonder if in a patch they can add a "research" category to inventory or something...

For me:

 

Don't linger in the Hinterlands, rush the quest objectives, gain the four power, haul ass out of there to Val Royeux and do everything there. You'll then have Sera, Viv, Iron Bull and Blackwall all included and can explore Hinterlands at your leisure. Just makes more sense to me to do that.

Huh what so bad with the Druffalo? The ones in Haven cant hurt my level 2 hero at all.

Don't desecrate the Dalish tombs in the exalted plains; for some reason they frown upon that. If you want to do both, desecrate after getting agent. Although I still got the agent, he made me feel bad. Who knew?

Meh, not really worth it. While the Shadowhunter bow had a nice power (25% faster in stealth mode) it's damage and DPS sucked and the Keeper robes doesn't haven't any slots.
