Does anyone else wish their was some secret third faction of rogues in Inquisition, and especially DA:2, that you could support instead of the mages and the templars. I mean seriously, their both asshats and screw-ups who constantly endanger the lives of the common people, so why should the PC bend over backwards to gain their allegiance? Their both probably going to turn into jerks decade after the Breach is closed anyway, so why bother.

Sera and her Red Jenny's or the Carta couldn't mess up as much as those two groups.

Interestingly by siding with the templars, a few of their war table missions were about protecting/saving mages not hunting them down. Which I think is cool, it shows a side of the templars that we don't typically see.

I agree and shows an effort to return to their original and true purpose.

And....Templar abilities in this game look truly epic :D

There is a secret third faction.

It's called the Inquisition.

AKA the Templars and Mages at the Conclave who decide to stop fighting and save the world.

Plus 1 Herald of Andraste.

Disband both and absorb them into the Inquisition.

I actually thought that was going to happen and post-DA:I Thedas would have the Templars and Mages under one roof.

My first inquisitor thought they both sucked, but decided to make use of the mages. He wasn't particullarly generous about it. I'm curious what my mage and elf willl do

I took the mages and made them mine; I chose Tevinter.

I miss the old Holy Smite, but the knew one is growing on me. If only it was a tad slower so it could be really seen and appreciated.

You know... that actually would have been nice in the game. And have some internal conflict that the Inquisitor focuses on to expand more on how to build/structure a massive organization.

That *would* have been interesting! We end up with Templars and mages under the same roof in any case

Im kinda pro mage but i feel like i want to pick the templars this time around and disband them but what i wonder is the following.

If u pick the templars and the Mages become corrupted and under the "elder ones" controll do they become demonised in the story/end credits.

Like do they get balmed that its all cus there mages and proof all mages are evil and so on.

Since if mages are blamed and further demonised i kinda have to pick maged instead of the templars =P.

Would be super helpfull if somone could give feedback on this.

We don't know but considering if you side with the mages and Leliana becomes Divine mages become accepted and with none of this happening if you side with the Templars, it is likely that yes, mages will continue to be hated if you side with the templars, just like the templars will likely be hated if they become red templars.
