To Bioware:
Got Dragon Age Inquisition today for PS3. As I have only played the game for a few hours, I am planning to give it more time before I decide my full opinion of this game. I'm not here to bash- but there are some things I'd really like you to patch to make this game easier to enjoy. List is as follows:
1- Please enlarge the font. I must squint to read any text, including the subtitles, menus and the loot buttons. Oh, and especially the command for the main character's sealing ability- for something so crucial to the gameplay, I ought to be able to see when I'm supposed to do it.
2- Please add an option for sparkling loot/resources. This is not a complaint about the search system, but the fact that the text is so small I can't see where the loot is.
3- I think the search thing is a great idea. I like getting a audible clue that there is treasure, so I'm not paranoid about searching every corner. An arrow pointing at loot, once detected, would be nice, but isn't a major gripe.
4- The problem I am having with the search funtion is that it's mapped to the L3 button. That's a very difficult button to have to press constantly, especially while moving. Please change it.
5- OR instead of changing the button, you could give us the ability to change all the controls. I ask this because, well, almost everything is very...clunky. The loot button is also the jump button. I'm given no choice but to use the left stick to make menu selections, on the title screen and in the equipment screen, and to scroll through codexes when I would prefer to use the D-pad for this. The attack button, R2, is not the button I would prefer to use constantly for combat. And the lock-on/change targets button, at R3, is busy controlling the camera. So I try to change targets and just end up rotating the camera. This is very inconvenient. I would like the ability to change all of these things please. If there's no universal preference for controls, then let us decide for ourselves.
6- My personal opinion for the above, btw, would be to make the potions menu part of the tactical control, move the targeting, search, and jump functions to the L/R 1 and 2 buttons somewhere, and make attack X. Then add an auto-attack function like you did for Dragon Age 2.
These issues are hampering my ability to enjoy the game for its content and story. I hope you will take an effort to address them in the immediate future.
