Well it's no E.T the Extra-Terrestrial.
I'm referring to the game not the movie.

The simple answer is no, its not a bad game.
Grass Simulator is a bad game. DA:I is a nicely realized project...its just having some release day/teething issues that will hopefully get sorted out.
Its not a GOTY contender, but its a solid RPG that seems to show BioWare getting its boots back on to a certain degree.
So far it's an 8/10, the controls are awful on PC.
not even remotely a bad game because of the extensive lore you will be getting.
it does have some gameplaying faults (most games do) but so far, I am enjoying it.

Any chance of getting Joffery to try a controller instead of KBM ? ![]()
A good game, shoddily assembled.
No. It's the best DA easily and probably one of the best fantasy RPGs in a long time.
Oh gosh, some console players saying DAI is good on consoles.. of course it is! But WHY PC players have to face that stupid control unoptimization! We payed the same price.

How many degrees of shoddy do you mean?
Some craftsman find even 10 or even 5% shoddy too much.

The complete lack of documentation is worth 20% on its own.
The controls and the lack of any decent AI customisation are on top of that.

Playing on PC and after getting over the initial learning curve of it being different than DA:0 and DA2, the controls are fine?
No. It's the best DA easily and probably one of the best fantasy RPGs in a long time.
Its a good game, but IMO not even close to the best titles of the genre. Skyrim, Divinity, Wicther 2 are better, but I guess is more a matter of opinion.
Im enjoying DAI, but its too flashy and MMOish to my taste. Also, the tactical combat, a feature that could make DAI a lot better, does not work properly and is almost irrelevant even in the hardest mode. EA really should copied Divinity system.
A good game, shoddily assembled.
I usually agree with Sylvius. I don't want to agree with this, but alas I must. For this PC player at least, it really is a bad experience.
FANTASTIC story (as always), great characters, interesting plots, and so on... but playing it is a chore for me at the moment.

I'm a console player and have to disagree with it being good on console players:
-The Menu is really "sticky" in the sense that it doesn't move very fast, I'm use to being able to scroll through a line of menu items pretty fast
-The Petal flower UI is really freaking weird, it was atrocious in Skyrim, why the **** would it be good in a DA game
-The animation is sometimes odd, and slow, and really almost like claymation at times
8/10 as Is. Once the Controls on the PC version get fixed 10/10.
The complete lack of documentation is worth 20% on its own.

Clarity is always a treat. Thank you.
I am mostly concerned about the AI customization. I'll find out very soon if I can adapt some way and have a fun time with it.
I hope you get your wishes in the near future.
20 hours on record.. For now- it's 10/10 for me. Seriously, I can't find any flaws, but I've tried! This game is everything I wanted. I like gameplay structure. Combat and exploration is addictive. Music, amazing cutscenes, the story and... companions. I love all of them. I've almost cried during Dorian's personal quest. It was so emotional...
I only had problems with several game crashes, but it doesn't matter. The game itself runs so smoooth (PC)
There are some initial annoyances with the PC controls, but after 8 hours, I think I am getting used to it. One thing that is consistently awkward though, is the janky tactical cam, if it would only zoom out more and stop get blocked by ceilings and my own ice barriers.
Also, no crashes so far on my 8-hour game session, but there are some noticeable graphical glitches, namely flickering shadows and terrain details, but those seem to be limited to only a few places in the game and not game breaking.
If you unreasonably expect absolute and utter perfection from every single aspect of the game at every single point of the game like many people of this forum seem to have expected then yes the game is AWFUL!!!!!
If you want a game that is fun as hell and addictive as hell then yes this game is amazing.
PC users are upset because they truly believe that RPG's should only be on PC, and because the PC version is really bad they are throwing a tantrum.
What a wierd comment, I have been gaming on consoles and pc both for over 25+ years and I have never once thought PC gamers believe that RPG's should only be on PC. There might be a small %, but people on one or two forums does not = all of pc gamers.
For me I loved Origins, hated Dragon Age 2, but I am LOVING Inquisition on PC. I have tried it with xbox one controller and K+M and I like them both. The game is gorgeous, it runs well, it has interesting characters and so far a good story. To be honest the only complaint I can honestly say is the Menus/UI could be slightly better, but its hardly a huge issue.
Please don't put all pc gamers into one group, or console gamers for that matter. Not every PC gamer is stuck up and not every console gamer is an annoying COD playing who yells in the mic. Just because I don't have the same dislikes for this game as others doesnt mean I am wrong and they are right, its just difference of opinoins or experiences.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase and imo this is Biowares best game since Origins and POSSIBLY since Baldurs Gate 2 (I will need more time to see hehe).
Anyways, happy adventures, just wanted to say that not all pc gamers are how you described them, just like all console gamers are not how some people online describe them as. If some pc or console gamers have some issues with a game that is there opinion and there right, we don't have to agree with them but let's not call them names or group them all together becuase of an opinion on something. There is bad apples in each group of gamers, just like there is mature gamers and some that just have legit issues and are letting them be known.
It is by no means bad. It plays different from previous DA and I think that is why some did not find it to their liking.
Yes it's a great game. PC users are upset because they truly believe that RPG's should only be on PC, and because the PC version is really bad they are throwing a tantrum. It's in every thread especially in the Feedback section.
Hey, I'm a PC player and I'm not throwing a tantrum. So far I think the game's pretty fantastic. Can't wait to get home from work and throw more hours into it.
I'm not playing with a keyboard/mouse setup, so I'm avoiding the clusterfuck that supposedly is. My only main complaint about the PC version is that cutscenes stutter. This has been reported widespread and is highly annoying as it's hard on the eyes and takes you out of the game. Some people have said that unlocking the 30FPS cap on cutscenes fixes the issue, but not for me.
11 Hours in and I've no idea why people would call this a bad game. Even the metacritic average is 88... I wonder if it's the pirates who can't play that "hate" the game?
