Stuttering fixed by using only 1 processor - How to fix?

The only way I can play Dragon Age without game-breaking stuttering is be setting the affinity of the game to only 1 of my CPUs (through task manager). Does anyone know of anything I could do to try and fix the stuttering? It was one of the reasons why I stopped playing DA for a while. :S
