So I got DAI on 360, and to be blunt, I'm having trouble getting into it.

Load times are long, the lighting is rough on the eyes, can't read some of the texts such as the quest tracker, load times are quite long...

I feel really detached through the first few hours.

Now I am still using component, so maybe an HDMI adapter would help, but it's just been underwhelming, and I'm wondering if playing this on any other system, including PS3, or PC would make it that much better.

I'm not sure where to help you sorry..  It's not like the solution is to put in a bigger stick of RAM or upgrade the video card.  It is what it is.  I would recommend getting an hdmi cable and seeing if that helps.  But again, the xbox 360 can only do so much.  I'm surprised that they have even released it on the older consoles.

No, it wouldn't help.  Load times for me are ~2 minutes and I've got a high (not ultra) end PC.

I'd imagine the HDMI should help make it a bit more crisp and the text more readable. I've a PS3 and not gonna play this game on that, but in my experience connecting to an HDMI makes most games look better.

Skyrim looks far superior to this game, unmodded, and it's three years old.

Inquisition on current gen systems (PS3, 360) look like PS2 games. Everyone has nasty skin, scars are just missing, the 'freckle' option is seriously little more than eczema skin, the trees are just globs of pixelated green vomit. I can go on and on. 4/10

Next gen systems look pretty nice though.

9/10

Ill give that a shot, thsnks. My biggest fear is that this is simply unplayable on 360.

I play with an HDMI cord and it does not make a difference. Character models are still ugly, environments are still ugly, it's all just ugly.

I play on the 360. It is far from unplayable. Was I spoiled by Twitch videos? Admittedly, yes. But once I really got into it....yeah I forgot I was getting the "shittier" version of the game. Story more than makes up for it :)

Hmm, the person after you made this post says it makes no difference. I guess there's no harm in trying and I'm just going by my experience on a PS3 with other games when I was hooked to a SDTV before I made the switch to a HDTV...I can't comment on how things differ on a 360. Supposedly last gen consoles beat the graphics of PCs set at low settings, so apparently it could still get worse on a very low end PC.

I'm currently playing the PS3 version and having a blast.  Yeah, the graphics are on the wonkier side of things, but somehow the CC was still awesome and my Quizzy is gorgeous. If you really really need the best graphics, maybe getting it for last-gen isn't for you.  But the game is still great.  The "unplayable" drama I've been seeing since yesterday is exactly drama.

I dont need the best, but not even being able to read text is extremely annoying. Plus the lighting starts to give me a headache after awhile.

Ill try HDMI. If that doesnt work, move on to PC.

Well you are trying to play a 2014 game on 9 year old machine..

The Xbox 360 S is from 2010.

And Xbox One is from 2013 and you can't play in 1080p. Seems that BioWare only cared about the PS4-version.

Anyone play the 360/ps3 version for 30-50 hrs? Can you tell us how many quest-break (or game breaking) bugs you encounter so far?

On a "new" gen machine with three year old hardware lol.

Who are you trying to kid. The leap between last and current gen is not even that impressive.

Or maybe Microsoft screwed up making the XB1 so it can't go above 900p in this game without turning down actual visual fidelity.

So I tried HDMI, helped a bit not not much. Much of the text was still hard to read and couldn't play for long thanks to the lighting.

Bro picked it up for PS4. Holy crap, it's insanely better. So clear, everything is smooth (except the cutscenes)... just gonna have to wait I suppose. Can't play it on PS4.
