That response you quoted was about the 30 FPS, not the stuttering.  Come on Bioware.

Even if you use the 60 fps launch command, you'll still get some stutters in cutscenes.

It is much much better, but not perfect.

No stuttering in mine.   Try turning off your Overclocking software.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with overclocking and I'm not using any software to overclock my system either.

Turning off the Origin overlay helps quite a bit.

Oh, I have to try that.

Thanks a lot!

Someone mentioned this in another forum, but if you are getting intermittent lockups, and you use MSI Afterburner, get rid of Rivatuner Statistics Server. Shut down MSIA and uninstall the Rivatuner server (or if you can find another way to get it not to start with MSIA, do that.) That WILL stop the stuttering.

If you're not using Rivatuner, then obviously it's something else, but Rivatuner definitely causes stutters.

Bump for fixing the issue on consoles.

Still no answer from Bioware, huh?

I mean, is it so difficult to actually say something to us? "We're aware of the problem, we're working on it" or even "it's too much of a pain to patch it, it'll remain like this", etc... why the silence?

I have the same issue too. Frame rate during cutscenes is solid 30 fps but it looks like it's running 15 fps due to the stutter. It's very distracting.

Every time there is a cutscene the immersion is broken, which is shame considering that cutscenes and conversations are usually the most enjoyable part in Bioware games.

I'm only a few hours into the game but I haven't noticed any of the issues being talked about really. No not even this one. I'm not saying the game is perfect or that it's completely terrible because I haven't played long enough to say but I'm beginning to think people are nitpicking in some instances and are just downright hating on the game in others. I've read posts on everything from the tactical camera and controls on the PC being terrible to a barely noticeable skip in cut scenes being so horrible they want it to be fixed immediately or they won't play the game. It seems way too demanding to me considering the game just came out and they spent four years developing it. I really don't understand all the flack being thrown Bioware's way but then again this is BSN so... Anyway, I'm enjoying it and so far haven't had any glitches or game breaking bugs, ::knocks on wood::, so I think they've made a very good game, maybe even great, and I'm looking forward to playing it some more.

Thats great that you're not having issues, but the rest of your post really is uncalled for.

People are having issues with the game, me being one of them.

I've changed drivers, adjusted in game settings, using a user.cfg file with different adjustments, trying with and without SLI, you name it.

The game for me stutters bad enough in the cutscenes that it makes it unplayable for me.. the audio stutters along with it. If it was a little stuttery, I can deal with that, but that's not what I have.

Also, many of the rational and level-headed posts about the controls, from people like myself who have played DAO and DA2 for years are unhappy with some of the choices made regarding K&M. Totally justified.

Again, glad that the game works for you, but don't try to act like others who don't have a great experience should be ignored or their opinions on the matter pushed aside. Bioware released a very great looking and playing game but its not without its issues.. tone down the fanboyism and think objectively here.

I'm not being a fanboy but okay. I get some people are having serious problems like you are having but I really think some are nitpicking about every little nuance and get bent out of shape over it that's all. I think some are getting way too angry over it.

That's fair, but really, this is nothing new. Look at any game release on any platform and you will get people who are a range from disappointed to raging.. should not come as a surprise.

Some of us will be patient in the light of problems and others will be irate and unreasonable.. the key is not to group all of these people together.

Fair enough. Wasn't my intention to group everyone together. Most people can voice their opinions and disappointment without flipping out. Someone posting something like this isn't called for because it's just really harsh and unnecessary: "You have delivered a steaming piece of s***. Absolute s***."

Okay, the fix and/or deactivating that Origin-Overlay did the trick it seems. The little stuttering was deeply annoying, mostly because I wanted to record many of these curscenes with my char using Fraps for future use ... and these little hickups are not nice to have then.

But it runs rather smoothly now, I actually didn't see any stuttering anymore. Wonderful.  I hope I don't celebrate to early though ^^

I had Origin overlay disabled before I started the game in the first place. So that certainly didn't help.

However now that I've been playing at the Hinterlands region for couple of hours the issue seems to have fixed itself somehow. Maybe it only affects the starting area of the game? I for sure hope it doesn't come back.

There is definite stutter in cut scenes on the ps4. But it is minor. I didn't even notice it tbh until my sister told me.

It's extremely problematic. When I try the "easy fix" it makes my game play extremely smoothly, but in extremely slow motion (heaving sigh). I've never waited for a game for so long and then had it be completely unplayable with so many crashes and terrible FPS, even after trying the numerous solutions on the technical forum.

I'm having this same problem. When I first updated my drivers, the game was fine. Not fantastic, but playable and not overly laggy. Today it's gotten significantly worse and basically unplayable. I tried the "easy fix" to bump up the FPS, but now I'm having this slow motion problem as well. The game runs really, really smooth, but it's like I'm in Baywatch. Everything is extremely slowed down. I've yet to have any major crashes, but this is just as bad since there's not even a point in playing like this.

This stuttering is so bad. I can´t enjoy the cutscenes. This is so frustrating in an RPG and i can´t get into the story when all i think is "omg that stuttering hurts my eyes".

PLEASE Bioware... at least tell us you know :/

I've tried the FPS fix which was a good improvement but the microstutter during cutscenes is verging on unbearable.  I want to enjoy the game at it's best so I'll have to be patient and wait for a fix.  Whether that is from Bioware or a driver update remains to be seen.

Out of interest is this affecting both Nvidia and AMD users?  I have an HD 7950 3GB on the 14.11.2 Beta drivers.

Specs

i7 3770k

16GB RAM

Radeon HD 7950 3GB

MSI Z77

PS4 player here.

I have seen the stuttering as well. It does not happen ALL the time. When it does however it is noticeable but tolerable

I am experiencing stuttering on the PS4 version. Its a bit of a shame really as it is ruining an otherwise awesome experience. Contemplating as to whether I should switch to playing something else until a patch is released (thats if one is ever made to fix the issue).

The stutter seems to have been worse in the prologue, yes.  It was almost as though my computer was adapting to the stutter, which would be quite impressive! :D

It's still there and it's still distracting, but either I'm getting used to it or its gotten slightly better for whatever reason, be that the location I'm in or some other reason.
