Hello,
is there any way to fix this via save editing? I've wasted a lot of time customizing Hawke, only to find that I had to reload a previous save... So frustrating.

The problem is how an eventual patch will work.
I doubt it will give the opportunity to change the voice then, perhaps, it should be applied before meeting Hawke to prevent the change. This means I have to redone Hawke and is not worth it... :\
At least give us an eta Bioware. Saves me waiting for a solution, i'll use default hawke if it's gonna be a while but i'm willing to wait if it's like in the middle of next week.

Keeps me from thinking "maybe tommorow" and getting disappointed know what i mean?
God I really hope this is patched soon. I can't play the game with a Hawke that isn't MY Hawke, she might aswell not even be there, and I can't play the game with an inquisitor that isn't MY inquisitor or atleast sounds like how she should be. I've been raving over this for like ever, cuz I'm almost done with sidequests and I need a fix. I'm truly curious how anyone could miss this OBVIOUS and easily detectable bug :/
Damn, i only have 2 or 3 hours top each day to play this game because of my work so this messed up a week in my game... i cant play with this new voice, is just not my character... i really gave it a good think and time to build my character!! damn!! i am so pissed!!
Well, it looks like I will be playing a different game until this gets fixed. The other voice doesn't fit my character, and default Hawke doesn't fit the Hawke I played in DA2. As "Minor" as this may seem for many, for me, this may as well be game breaking.

Almost lost a game to this with a male inquisitor but luckily had a save not long before. Hawke is game hawke now. No customizing her as I don't want my voice to change. How did they miss this bug?

If you have a save before the change just go back to it. You might have an auto save from when you arrived back at skyhold.
I have a save right before the Hawke customization, but I have better things to do with my life and other games that don't glitch. I'd rather not spend possible hours re-customizing Hawke hoping it doesn't glitch out on me one of the times. And as I said, I don't want to play with default Hawke. At the very least, my save will sit there until this gets patched.
I play games like this for the fantasy and immersion. The idea was to have a history that is spanning three games at this point. Having a Hawke that looks nothing like the Hawke I played as defeats the entire purpose.
Real replay-killer, this bug. I made about 4 new Inquisitors and 3 are planned to stop shortly after acquiring Skyhold because I want to customize Hawke. This cannot be patched quickly enough.
Ack, I'd read that reloading a save somehow switched it back (I assumed permanently) but my American Inq is still British. My Hawke was pretty much default Hawke without the beard so, I guess after these few years he's grown one ![]()
I always hit quicksave just before talking to everyone, which many times has saved me from unwanted minus affection and such, so I'll just do it this time.
Yes this happened to me in my playthrough as well. I just decided to head cannon it as my Inquisitor put on airs and started talking with a fake accent once he had claimed skyhold.
From now on I will make sure to just go with default Hawke.
Been 3 weeks since release now, Bioware should at least have an eta for a patch at this point.

They were aiming for the 9th but looks like most platforms will not get it by then. Suggests that some will though.
Any sign of the new patch implementing a fix for this? There will be a lot of soreness, I feel like, if we have to wait until the next patch to get this thing addressed, certainly with this kind of patch release schedule.
I moved on default Hawke. His/Her role is really marginal. Not worth ruining playthrough avoiding to meet him/her or changing voice to the main character for a few cutscenes. However, this does not justify the lack of a patch.
Today's patch didn't fix my already bugged character. :/
Maybe it fixes the instance in which causes it? I don't have a save right before Hawke, but I have one right after.

That's a shame, sorry to hear that. It fixed the instance that caused it.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a fix?
I don't like default Hawke so I want to customize but it switches my voice ugh.
I found this annoying. I like the deeper voiced Inquisitor. He became British after customizing Hawke. I hated the customization options anyway. I would have gone with the canon Hawke look after seeing how customization looked.
I was also affected by this glitch.
I got the patch (noticed it when I saw pings in the radar) but still wrong voice.
Anyone else?
I think the patch only fixes the point at which this bug happens so you would have to go back to a save before meeting Hawke and play from there to keep your voice.
