Consumables (at least some of them) should have been free and restocked between missions, like they are in singleplayer.
People aren't going to use potions, just like they hoarded medigel in ME3MP

That's Bioware's fault for being stupid twice in a row. If they used their potions then they would have no potions. So not using potions when the supply is super duper limited isn't any different from already not having any potions to use.
Bioware should have made potions instant regen back to full quantity at the end of each match instead of making players buy them in the stupid chests. STUPID!

In ME3MP it was kindof a last resort i assume its the same here and its a resorse / rationing thing.

I gotta say, usually we don't see eye to eye, but I agree. Especially because, even if lore reason could have explained the lack of potions, due to the global chaos after the Breach, the fact that the Inquisitor can get potions restocked by coming back to camp, would lead you to believe his or her agents could get a little restock too.
Seems more like a mechanic to encourage spending gold on potion restocks, to divert that gold from obtaining unlocks, so that it takes longer to max manifest or encourages purchasing Plat. This seems especially true if the game plays as difficult as it appears. However, depending on how long it takes to pass the point at which your need to restock potions falls below your ability to purchase them, this may not be as big of an issue. Will have to wait and see.

If there is, it's not the Keeper. We just have to keep barriers up on the tank (and the group if possible) to mitigate damage before it gets to the health bar.
I DID however obtain an armor modification that gave a "+12% TO HEAL" bonus, so I'm curious which of the locked classes has an actual health restore.

I played an excessive amount of ME3 MP.
There really wasn't much point in using most consumables on bronze - silver. However on Gold+ you'd use them a lot.
I'm saving mine for higher difficulties.

The way I see it, using them isn't really worth it.
As of now, the difficulty completion rewards are a joke for example, so even during a Stage 5 End Fight on Threatening level, I'd rarely use a potion. It's not worth it in my opinion, since technically each HP potion costs about what, 50 gold if I recall?
The reward for completing stage 5 is like, 80 gold heh..Do the math

Save them for stage 5, given how common healing potions are though, I don't think anyone should be afraid to use them. The other potions though, I definitely hold them back as much as possible.
There are some nice alternative healing potions too, like an AOE heal, a regen, etc, but they seem to be very rare.

I save them for wave 5.
Even then considering that on the easiest difficulty we're talking about sth like 70 gold for the boss, I try not to use them.

I have to ration it, since I have been buying gear more. But I think 2 free basic heal potions a match would be good. So you only need to worry about Jar of Bees and potions like that. I used one potion before because it was stage 5 and we were winning. One time with our team splitting up leaving me to solo a group while they looked for treasure, I would not waste a potion in that circumstance. Maybe when people get more they will. In Mass Effect 3 MP I did not use medigel until after silver or even gold. So maybe it will be that?

wrong i know i do when i am on my mage, if people dont use it then tha kick them since you dont need potions to revie people unlike how medigel was i think its seperate thing since my potions are at 2 even after revivaing someone

Frankly the way the shop is designed discourages me from using potions. I try to save money for big chests to get more items, and if I buy small chests (better deal at potions) I'm not even guaranteed health potions.
Plus as I mentioned earlier - the final reward isn't very appealing, so I don't mind getting wiped. I still get the majority of gold and XP. If there would be a chest with guaranteed items after the boss though....

The heal bonus, I'm thinking that applies to the reaper/devour skill.
And barrier, even if it's not a heal, can be huge support. We had one keeper that
had a skill selection that reduced the cooldown on barrier reapplication when cast
on multiple players. So we clustered as much as possible, even while kiting large
packs. That was a radically different experience from runs with other keepers that
mostly focused on dps, sometimes placing barrier on the tank.
It allowed the entire group to easily save potions for stage 5. And even on that
last stage, potions were not necessary for most players in the group.

LOL! To be fair, the live stream didn't help matters when the devs were in there saying "Don't use them UNTIL ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!!!" So yeah.....
But as it already has been said, it's probably better to wipe with the gold you accumulated so far and get better chests, and then get even further later on.

It's actually worse than medigel, because with that, you could use them as a last resort. You know if you don't use it right now, you will die.
If you keep the potion in your pocket, you could get incapacitated. And if you get incapacitated, you might not be picked up. And if you are picked up, you may or may not go down a second or third (fatal) time.

It's not really analogous to the medigel system in MEMP3. Medigels were used to revive. Players were hoarding their meds and waiting on revives instead of getting up themselves or not using them during the objective waves (when it really mattered). Scrubs be scrubbing. The potion system requires a bit more finesse and they are scarce (until or unless BW increases the capacity). I rarely even use potions myself. Since I only buy large chests it's not really cost effective to use them every game.
