It took only 2+ years after the trilogy ended but finally a proper 1/6th scale figure is announced. Preorder for this will go live at November 20, 2014 9:00 AM Hong Kong Time.

Would be nice if ThreeZero meets their sales quota and more for this so they can invest in more figures down the road. I'd trade my kidneys for the whole squad on my shelves. ![]()

The quality is absolutely stunning. I'm not really into these figures but personally this would be the one that I'd get. Love that Shep is sporting the N7 helment. Wish the box art for the games did the same - I hate seeing not-Shepard.
As much as I admire the work and feel envy of those who nab one... Over $200 for one figure!? You have to be kidding me. That's more than the entire trilogy with DLC included. That's more than any component in my PC. Wow. I don't know what I envy more, those who have this or those who can afford to throw $200 at a figurine.
I'll add this to ever growing list of things I'd love to have but will never purchase. Lol.

I know right. >.< Im a fig collector but my budget is also usually with ~20$ ones. But quality goes with price. There have been other companies that offered cheaper yet smaller versions but either the quality was not there or the line didnt go deep enough that production stopped. I feel this is a lesser evil compared to full statues by Gaming Heads which are upwards of 300. Still 220 is still too high, it would have been nice if it was 160-180.
Getting 1/6th scale versions of ME now though is a miracle considering its past its prime. And ThreeZero seems a decent enough company to knock the likeness and sculpt out of the park. As long as they keep ME releases to 2 or 3 (at-the-most) figures per year, I think it'd be feasible.
Also, one of the main reasons I am going all in (to the detriment of my wallet lol) is because Im hoping profitability will justify them making a Wrex someday. I need that crusty Krogan on my shelf! ![]()

In a few years I might just buy a 3D printer and try making one myself. Lol.

Thats one of the thoughts that crossed my mind earlier in the year. That or having a figure custom sculpted from scratch. Both options still cost north of 200 bux tho lol >.<

Oh yeah, it will be expensive. However there is inherently more value in a 3D printer than there is in a single model, imo. I'd have an easier time justifying a 3D printer then I would an extremely expensive plastic model figure that just sits on my desk to look cool. Though the reason I said I'd wait a few years is because by then 3D printers will be, hopefully, more affordable and more in-line with the asking price of the model.
