That would only be TOO logical, is my guess.
Yes! I am so sick of hearing people's microphones in the background. Of course I also hate hearing everyone's stupid sounding voice that totally ruins the immersion and fun, especially as everyone seems to use only the cheapest microphone available.
So I just mute everyone.
I wish I could just automute everyone and then communicate via typing.
Could've swore I heard the dev's say in a vid that there was ptt and text chat (for pc at least)...guess that didn't make it in-game...
Yeah.... if you play on the PC, you HAVE to know if you have a mic in front of you. I end up muting everyone anyways because either no one answers me when I try to talk tactics, or I am stuck listening to somoenes screaming baby, television show, or some other such nonsense. 9-(
BIOWARE: In game voice chat for the PC needs much more functionality to be valid.
In the stream PTT was confirmed. I turn on the game and I see no push to talk button. I constantly see that people hear my background noise. I don't want it. I don't have my headset here.
Why wouldn't you include functionality from ME3? Why do you make a game with a focus on communication within the team and don't see to that there are numerous and convinient ways of communicating with each other?
Didnt they promise push to talk and chat functunality ? Couse im preaty damn sure they did in one of the twitch streams.
I use a good expensive head-set so noise from my mic wont be there - but i dont want to annoy or share my personal life whit some random ppl ( gf pc is next to my pc ).
Soooo can we expect some sort of fix or will i have to sit whit muted mic and not be able to cordinate whit the party ?
Agree. The ability to disable my microphone and a push-to-talk feature should be added. If I choose to disable my microphone, then a icon indicating such should show up on my banner (e.g., microphone with a slash through it) so that the other party members in the lobby know I am not transmitting voice.
hope they fix this...
Maybe it's the new educational feature that comes with the game:
Learn new languages - and learn the relevant vocabulary first.
