So Who's running this game well?  I must admit that I am a bit disappointed with my system, it can't really stand up to the punches.  I was wondering if someone could help me out in researching a better card or cards to use to upgrade to on a budget of $600.  It seems like Crossfire and SLI are being ignored in a host of new games these days.  The game runs like absolute crap right, basically unplayable even with new drivers.  Everyone hair is filthy greasy and way too shiny.

To fix the shiny hair issue, set Mesh Quality to at least High. I'm not running it very well, but I just come in the minimum on the RAM scale, so that's to be expected. For reference, my specs:

Athlon Phenom II x4 945

4 GB RAM

Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (EVGA)

I would just buy more RAM, but I don't wanna upgrade this almost-10 year old computer anymore and plan to build a new one in the next few months or so. I want everything in it new.

I have already got 16 gigs of Ram,  I don't think that's an issue for me...

Admittedly I have a rather high-end system, but I'm also running the game on a very big screen and I didn't expect it to run this smoothly. I am very impressed by the performance so far.

System: I4790K / GTX980 / 16GB RAM, running everything but MSAA on the highest setting at 2560x1440.

I am pleased.

I'm also pretty concerned about how the game fares with SLI. I'm upgrading to a dual 970s within couple of weeks and I'd be extremely disappointed if I'm forced to turn it off due to issues. This is also the first time I'm going for an SLI configuration...should I not even bother if games don't take advantage of it? Or is it worth it just to power a 1440p monitor running games on ultra? Would love to hear performance experience with people running SLIs cos I'm hearing some very mixed experiences.

Sapphire r9 280x toxic

Settings defaulted everything to Ultra, I'm running it with everything on high and msaa off at a steady 60fps. Very impressed with the performance, game is stunning. I've used the cut-scene fix too and it works great. I'm playing with a wireless controller and love it so far.

I dont think the shiny hair has much to do with hardware as even on ultra mesh quality, they still feel too shiny... for me.

Apart from the bad hairstyles in the game, it is running very smoothly for me.

It's...playable. My frame rate drops very, very noticeably in populated areas.

This is reassuring as I have the exact same setup minus RAM (I only have 8GB but RAM is fortunately cheap if an incerease should be neccessary). Are your CPU and GPU running stock or have you overclocked anything?

CPU is at normal 4 GHz speed, GPU base clock at 1203 MHz (standard is 1126) on a Palit Jetstream 980 OC edition.

First time posting on Bioware forum, but thought I could help some prospective buyers with mid to high end specs make a purchasing decision.

Specs are:

AMD 8320 stock clocks

GTX 760 stock clocks

8 GB 1600 Mhz RAM

Running 1440p with Mesh set to Ultra, Tesselation set to Medium, Textures set to Fade Touched (a step above Ultra apparently), Shadows set to Medium, Post Process effects set to Low, SSAO, and everything else high. Also, no AA at all and V-Sync enabled.

The built in benchmark averages 40 fps plus or minus 2 fps, with the minimum at 32 fps plus or minus 1 fps.

Gameplay is very smooth at these settings, but cutscenes are choppy.

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I can offer up my experience as a PS4 player.  There's a massive FPS drop during cutscenes and I think they deliberately did that because the "symptom" repeats itself in EVERY one of them.  (At least so far, only a couple hours into the game.)  Not sure if this helps you PC folks, but I thought I'd mention it just in case or to at least provide a basis for comparison.

Mid-range graphics card, running everything on medium except mesh, and it's performing beautifully.  Only once did I encounter some lagging, when I was out exploring the outskirts of Haven (there is a lot of elfroot out there).  Otherwise, I've encountered no problems.

I5-3750k 3.4

EVGA GTX 780 6GB version

16 GB of RAM

Installed on SSD

Every Setting is Ultra or Fade Touched, MSAAx2

And I get between 48 to over 60 FPS at any given time at 1080p, If I wanted to I could lower something for 60+ constantly but I love the way it looks where it is at the moment for the most part and I love it.

My 5-year old system fried out on launch day and I ordered this exact CPU/GPU/RAM combo (arrives tomorrow night.)  Glad to hear it's running well!

One of the problems I know of is the sli crossfire is not working properly.  In order to fix it somewhat you have to play in fullscreen as opposed to windowed or borderless windowed.  If you do play it in borderless or windowed then using only one gpu is best afaik, until more drivers/patches drop.

I have a sapphire hd 7970 w/ 6gb vram oc'd with 1125 mhz core and 1575 mhz memory and in borderless I don't hit 60 fps consistently but I do avg around 45 to 50.

The games runs well for me so far. I did get a crash to desktop once, but I don't know what caused it. Besides that, everything looks to be running smoothly.

My specs:

Resolution: 1920x1080 --> Will be switching to a bigger screen over the weekend, so we'll see how that goes.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K (currently still running at stock 4.0GHz)

CPU cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 3

Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A

GPU: Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290 OC

RAM: G.Skill Ares 16GB

SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB

OS: Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate

My DA:I Graphics settings are Mantle-enabled and everything set to Ultra except for:

- Post-Processing Anti-Aliasing (Medium)

- MSAA (off)

I made the above changes after seeing that my GPU was running a bit hot. I'll probably continue to tinker and see how far I can push it.

I think the latest AMD drivers were supposed to provide some optimized crossfire profiles? That's what I remember reading, but since I have a single-card setup, I cannot verify whether that changed anything.

Running it very well - constant 60fps on max settings. But for some ridiculous reason there's a 30fps lock on cutscenes which causes horrible microstutter. In a game so dialogue-heavy this is unacceptable as about 30% of the game is spend in 30fps.

Of course I can disable it with adding a few commands to the shortcut but then I get thrown of screen during some cutscenes. I really hope that patch 1 addresses this issue. Asap.

I'm running it well on i7, 680gtx and 32gb ram. I have no issues at all. Some aren't going to like this, but, I think most of the issues people are having is due to sub-par processors like >i7, Celerons or AMD's, sub-par graphics like Radeons and most of all, having less than 16 gb of ram.
