I made a Male Qunari, but people treat me like a Female Human

I'm curious if other people have experienced this on the PC;

In the character creator I made a Male Qunari Warrior, but I think the game got a little...confused.  First off, I can wear helmets meant for Humans, Dwarves, and Elves. I also can't use the Qunari warpaints.

While for most of the game NPCs treat me like a Qunari, I've noticed that sometimes, especially with Ambassador Josephine and Vivienne, I'm refereed to as a Lady Adaar or simply "Madame". Josephine also asked me about my royal house, which I believe to be exclusively a human background.  I can't imagine a Qunari exile coming from a well-off family.

So yeah, the game, almost half the time, seems to think I'm a Female Human instead of a Male Qunari.

Is this a common issue, does the character creator get mixed up or something? Is there a console command to fix it?

EDIT: Okay, so it seems like "Adaar" is, in fact, Qunari. So they're half right!

It is a common issue, had one myself, so far the only way to fix is to restart.

I don't have the gender part but I do have the noble thing going on.

Can you equip helmets but not the Qunari facepaints?  That seems to be paired with this issue usually.

This is a known bug that causes some parts of the game to think you're human, female, and/or rogue. What weapon did your Inquisitor pick up in the prologue?

It can apparently be prevented by switching at least once between male and female cards when selecting gender.
