To go along with my negative feedback:
http://forum.bioware...-larger-things/
1) Enjoyed the feeling of being the middle of it all, and not being this huge godlike leader straight off the bat, I have to work up to that. Loved that, so many games miss in.
2) Characters are diverse. Several of the characters I feel are well rounded.
Solas, Blackwell, Cassandra, Lelianna spring to mind I am only ten hours in, but they have each given me an involved and meaningful reason to talk to them. I have yet to meet a couple of characters Cole/Dorian/Sera and i've only just recruited Vivenne for example so give me time to form a full understanding of them.
3) Landscape is exceedingly open and you can really travel anywhere. I personally don't think the zones are too big, you can get around them without too much bother, especially with a mount which was appreciated.
4) Enjoyed leveling up the inquisition itself as it's own character, genius there.
5) Enjoyed all these factions feeling like they were out for themselves, and you are just one more struggling in the middle of it all, the general plot of it all.
6) Enjoyed the freedom to do what I wanted or leave what I wanted.
7) Wanted to add this I REALLY appreciate that characters remember the small things I say as I go through the story, to tailor their responses to me.
So summing all this up I am enjoying the setting, plot, characters and yes quests as I am not compelled to do any I don't want to do (outside of the main quest). I can level in variety of ways.
Feeling these are held back with the UI, pacing, and to a certain extent combat but not to the degree some feel.
