Hey guys, I know this might sound dumb, but whatever.

 

Right now the only armors I can access are what the merchant in Haven is selling.  I don't really like that bulky armor he has and I am not sure how to get my Mercenary Coat back for my Warrior, so I've been running around in those basic clothes.

 

Where do I go to get access to other types of armor?

There are schematics in redcliffe, as well as armor pieces. Same with Val Royeaux. Those are all I have come across thus far.
