I love the level of customization you have on your character for the single player game. Why was this not brought into multiplayer? Its annoying when you have another person in game with the same character as you because it can get confusing if you aren't paying close attention to who is who. Its an otherwise great mode that really offered what I expected. A cross between Mass Effect multiplayer and Diablo 3. Cool with me thanks Bioware.
Please add customization options for characters

While I kind of understand why they did it, and I don't mind having each "class" be its own character, why oh why, are the MP characters so ugly? They look awful.

There is some light customization in terms of crafting or finding the different armors or higher tier armors, but I can understand peoples frustration. I can also understand that it may have been done to reduce stress on their systems. If everyone had wildly different characters, it may require longer to send information initially, resulting in longer load times or maybe a higher chance for desync? I dunno, just trying to look at it from both sides.

I think it's done to make you appreciate your Inquisitor that much more. ![]()

Maybe but these issues didn't happen with Mass Effect so idk why they would happen now. I am not a network administrator though I am working on getting that certification.

I don't mind. My Legionnaire is really just a faceless grunt in the grand scheme of things. My Inquisitor would gladly sacrifice an ugly creature like him if it means he can save the real beauty in the world (looking at you Leliana.)

I think the difference in this game is in mass effect you were a faceless grunt and there was no banter. In this one we have back stories about being a keeper etc and also with banter. So these characters exist in the universe already. I would not mind little changes. But I do understand it.
Yeah the banter to me is annoying lol

Yeah but Leliana isn't giving up the goodies so continue dreaming.

I am ok with characters as they are. I just would like much more options for customizing hteir gear, colors etc.

yeah thats what I mean. I compare it to mass effect because I feel mass effect did a good job with the characters in multiplayer

Omg yes!!! Please, Bioware, add some character customization system! At least allow us to change the gender of the character x_x!!!! I personally hate playing anything other than human male melee characters, warrior like I mean. The only male one that uses an armor and a sword is a freaking dwarf! I hate dwarves (I hate playing dwarves in games, no offense)! I don't feel like playing the co-op at all because I don't feel like any of the characters represents me. The only male human looks like an ugly ass hobo... and he's a RANGER!!! x_x
We are in the customization era! Most services in the world are updating themselves to be able to allow people to customize the products they buy! Dragon Age, as a game that has been allowing you to change the appearance and sex of your character since the first one, couldn't have done such thing as fix characters... specially on an online mode!!! People wanna look different. No one likes to play an online mode of an RPG game if they are gonna have the same exact character... even Blizzard noticed that and allowed people the change the sex of the character to add variety.
I know the chances of bioware giving a damn and changing are small, but I'll be hoping it will happen :c

Rofl...Gotta say. Spot on. It's like they made them look as bad as possible. Even the dwarf is VERY BAD to look at.

If BW ever address this they will answer it the same way they did for ME3MP, Console are holding it back and they don't want one platform have features the others don't.

The keeper is horrific, the voice and comments aren't bad but the face and hair cut is pure awful.

Elf females, at their very best look, like uglyish boys X(.
I understand that BioWare is really strong about gender equality (which is really awesome), but strong jaw and a mohawk hairstyle on the keeper. Very nasty ![]()
Cassandra is rather bad ass tho.

The thing I love about our characters perpetually angry faces, is that the people we have to escort all have hilariously calm faces. Like they were just having a picnic with the enemy when we show up.
Also the inaccuracies of the cards (How come the Legionnaire isn't the King of Red Lions!? D: ) are hilarious.

The consoles are holding back customization? I don't believe that for a second but then again I play this on PC so idk.

That's what they said concerning request for more character customization in ME3 MP. Look at the face in DAMP, the Hunter archer and elementalist have the same faces beside minor details, the assassin and the necro are the same too. None of the classes have long hair (beside Katari I think). It really looks like scraping for resources to me. Even next gen consoles turned out to be pretty limited compared to most PC.

Pfft. Given what we've seen other devs do with the same tech, the only thing holding them back is them. Their should have been character creator in the multi, no question.

So many customization possibilities in SP, It's baffling we don't have them in MP. Absolute design mistake.

I wouldn't be so desperate if the characters at least looked decent, but as someone said, they didn't spend nearly enough time in the character creator.

The MP has enough bugs and glitches as it is, not to mention some classes not even having their equipment display properly. Adding in a character creator that would now require the game to be able to recognize and properly display everybodies modifications...I'm afraid the bubblegum and duct tape holding the multiplayer together would give out.
