The font really makes the game unplayable. I can barely see anything on my TV while playing on PS4. Any way to change that? Anyone has the same problem?

maybe you need glasses?  :)

i definitely agree in multiplayer in the results how many you killed aso...

Yeah, and around 150 other folks who wrote in this topic need glasses too.
Or maybe they already have some, but they need to remember to put them on their noses when they're playing their favourite video game. One can be so absent-minded sometimes.

The font size correction is in the next patch. Wait and see.

An option to adjust the size of subtitles (only) is planned. (Bioware Blog)

If I stick to these words, I doubt any change will be made to the other texts.

I've said "wait and see" for a reason.

Sure. And I wanted to quote the exact words on Bioware's Blog for a reason. Mainly because the option to adjust the subtitles size only is not the same thing than a global "font size correction".

That said, I wait, i wait... Playing Spellforce 2, till they fix the fonts, or till I buy myself a new screen.

It's one of those things where you aim to please the most people and always upset some.

No, it's not one of those things. This isn't some "personal preference" thing. It's an issue of quality. Everyone who paid for this game, irrespective of what platform they play it on, ought to be able to enjoy the game without the use of binoculars.

I just bought this game and its completely absurd. I have a 52" tv, I measured the font with a tape measure its a quarter of a goddamn inch big in some places. On a 52 inch tv! My eye sight is great, but if I have to strain to read something 10 feet away on a big tv there is seriously something wrong.  Im not rearranging my living room so I can sit 4 feet in front of a massive tv like a 4 year old kid watching cartoons. I'm actually curious as to how this would look on a 30 inch tv or something smaller.

Can we get our money back? They've created a game that isn't playable at all on the older gen platforms that they said it would be.

I borrowed this game from a family member to play on my XBox 360. I have a 27 inch tv, an old one, so definitely NOT an HD tv. My vision is 20/300. I can't read any of the text, even after toggling my XBox display options from Normal to Widescreen. I do not have an HD tv or HDMI/HD type cable of any sort, nor can I afford either. An option to make the font size larger for my eyes would be very much appreciated. I had been looking forward to this game coming out for quite awhile and now that I have a chance to play it, I can't. It is less than a foot from the end of my bed and even with my glasses I still cannot read the text, not even in the talk radial. Reading missions on the war map is impossible, as is reading the tutorial pop-ups. I mean, I can see the color or shape of the button on my control in the little tutorial pop-ups, but I can't read what the hell the buttons are supposed to do. And I have to turn on sub-titles because I am almost completely deaf, and guess what? I can't read the subtitles either or any of the text that pops up when I'm out roaming around in the world exploring things. Please, EA/Bioware, make a patch that gives the option of making the text size much larger than what it currently is. I had trouble reading things in Dragon Age 2 as well, but that was restricted to the Codex entries, thankfully, so it was still playable. In Inquisition, however, I can't read ANY of the text, which really does make it unplayable in my opinion since I can't see what my quest objectives are or what effects are on my weapons/armor, or well... anything.

I have a HD TV and I'm playing on the 360. I still have this problem.

this is absurd. I have 60" hd tv, and I have perfect vision. I find the text size barely readable from any distance. Such a disappointment. Never have I seen this problem with any game before. Bioware u should be embarrassed and humiliated from putting out such an unplayable mess. shame on you, u are better than this amateur attempt.

Because of this issue, I no longer read the codex entries nor the quest details. Playing on PS3 and a 32'' screen TV. I just follow the dialogues. Still, I have to sit literally in front of the TV to play if I want to have a general idea of what is happening text-wise. It is a pity because it ruins the fun of a RPG.

I really wish Bioware would fix this, along with the underperforming graphics and the infamous war table freeze.

Dear Bioware / EA whoever decides to ignore and abuse your faithful players who do not play on the PC ( which you helped with the font size in your last patch) take a long hard look at those having issues reading the font. in DA2 I thought it was ridicules how small the font size was but it was legible, just bearly now it is laughable. not only is it illegible its indecipherable. most of us have to resort to using DA wiki just to make the right choices on the War Table missions, to read an letters or codex entries and that isn't right. We paid the same amount of money to purchase the game and we should get the same consideration.  Not only do you exclude us for the DLC until much much later,  you make the game virtually unplayable. FIX IT!

Stop ignoring us.

I've not developed games but I have developed addons. I'm fairly certain font adjustment would be a quick and easy UI fix that wouldn't take more than a day to implement...

I just bought the game today and due to the ridiculously small font size I can't play it! I'm playing on a PS3 and on an SD TV which I'm aware is not ideal, but since playstation 3 is designed to be compatible with SD TVs I think it is unacceptable that a PS3 game would be so wildly incompatible with it. A disclaimer should have been on the game stating that it is unplayable on SDTVs. I'm asking for my money back

I have the same problems with the text being painfully small. I have the ps3 version and play on a 26" standard def tv. I was able to make it ever so slightly better by changing my ps3's aspect ratio to widescreen 16:9 however that will lead to problems with other games as most do not have the screen size/position options (or not quite as good ad DA:I's like in Diablo 3) so I can't make it so things aren't cutoff Skyrim being a big one for that as things were already cut off my screen with the aspect ratio being set for fullscreen. I created a topic Make text size adjuster for anyone interested in giving that a read, maybe adding to it so hopefully it will get their attention so we can hopefully get such options to make the game perfectly playable and enjoyable for everyone.

I just got DA:I for ps4 cause i didnt want to get for PC and have to install Origins platform. And I instantly regret that.

The Text in this game is beyond inconsistent,  Almost all the Text in the ingame menus need to be atlest 25% bigger to be comfortable readable, the Progression bar that pops up is unreadable EVEN IF you  less then 2 feet from screen for about it if you sit like 8 feet from your HDTV. for get about the fact i think the icons on menus could be lil bigger too.

I dont know what is more infuriating, they fact they ADDED subtitle font sizes cause they knew font sizes would be issue, or fact they left interface text inconsistent across the entire interface, it almost like the use part interface is meant for PC and other for Consoles.

And from what read this isnt gona be fixed either. what exactly was they smoking when they did the font sizes in this game, it one thing to have  same size fonts across the interface, but the interface fonts go from readable, yet uncomfortable to read, to wtf even close to HDTV this font is unreadable..
