Out of curiosity, I looked up the available romance options for this game.  (I play on the PS4)  As a heterosexual male playing a heterosexual male character, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in what I'm seeing.  Without risk of spoiling, you basically have 2 options.  One option looks like a man.  The second option looks like she has down syndrome and an overbite.  There is a third option, who is actually moderately attractive, but to my understanding, she is only available as a romance option to female protagonists.  Am I just straight up being too shallow?  Am I crazy?  I love this game and I'm trying to be as open minded as possible so feel free to change my mind.  But...damn, right now I'm not particularly excited about pursuing this avenue of the game. 

Also...keeping in mind I play the game on the PS4, what the hell is up with the severe FPS drops during cutscenes?  Am I just imagining this?  Is anyone else witnessing the same thing?

you have to deal with it. It's not a romance simulator.

And why do you care so much about appearance? Is it really important? In DA2 I hated Fenris. His hair, his face, everything about his appearance, but overall, his PERSONALITY was really good and I've changed my mind about him. Never judge a book by its cover

I think once you get to know more of the characters story they may become more appealing.

Yeah, like I said, I make no reservations about how picky I'm being with this and it's all just my opinion anyway.  But I was more or less expecting at least /some/ eye candy, in the typical sense.  I'm just looking at it all the wrong way I suppose.

It's a romance option, not a romance directive. I've played all of the MEs. and all of the DAs (except DAI)several times, many of them with out romance. They work out just fine. Romance is over rated.

Long way away from Morrigan but and Leiliana in the looks department but im sure the other LIs are good personalities
