As a reaver I can tell you to look for other reavers in the locations in Crestwood. You're welcome.

I signed up just to respond to this: where did you find the breaker after getting all the materials? She's nowhere on my map and shroud is where I first met her.

To the others: you get the book in the bar next to iron bull. You might need to converse with him first. The other guys are wandering the zones mentioned in the quest log. You're looking for a reaver accompanied by 2 mages.

Way of the Assassin progress:

Talked to Cole in his room at Skyhold and looted a book  on assassin methods.

Acquire three assassin guild leader tokens in Crestwood.

No Knife materials.

No Deathroot.

Seems there quest text is abit bad at displaying the fact that you have aquired the writing relevant to the specialization. At least if you aquire it through looting the reaver and champion books. If you have looted any off theese books or bought them. And gathered the other materials. Just go to the requisition desk and make the item required to continue the quest. Also, one off the people I dueled for the champion quest decided to try and walk away after I defeated him, making it abit hilarious and annoying trying to "loot" him for the item that counts towards the champion quest.

Tempest Question: So I have the spirit essence but only one apparatus. I am so confused, and spent a few hours trying the figure it out. I've been everywhere in the storm coast to no avail. Any advice??

Same boat you're in. Haven't found the other two. Did you find your one by one of the star puzzles, in the Apostate's Landing area? That's where I found mine.

I have everything I need for the Templar unlock EXCEPT the writings. I didn't find them at hte book merchant, nor can I find "Cassandra's belongings." I did, however, run all over Skyhold pressing L3 looking for her stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone explain to me how the "tier" thing works, on the specialization trees? All of them have a "focus" based ability with 3 tiers, but I can't find anything anywhere about what unlocks the higher tiers ...

e.g.: My mage is specialized in Knight Enchanter, and has the Resurgence ability.

At Tier 1 it resurrects fallen companions and heals them for 2% per second for 10 seconds, inside the radius of the spell.

OK, I can do that.

What about Tier 2, and Tier 3? How do I get the upgrades to 10%/sec and 25%/sec? Does it happen automatically as I level up? Do I have to invest more points? How does that work?

I can't find any info anywhere on it.

Inquisition perks under "Forces" called "Advanced Focus" and "Master Focus" open up the other tiers.

I'm having trouble finding 2 of the Champion duels. I found the one in the Grove but not on the Bank or Halin'sulahn. Anyone know where they'd be? I've been searching for 3 hours. Haha.

It should mention the areas within the zone you will find them in the quest text. Although if you don't remember where extactly those areas are. then that won't narrow it down much. But if you do remember. Then at least you have a few general areas to search. Instead off the entire zone.

Indeed. I suppose my post was a bit vague. I know where the regions are. I've been searching in the other two regions for the last 4 hours and have not found either of the aforementioned enemies.

I've been wandering about the Flats for about an hour looking for the last assassin for Way of the Assassin.  Any pointers for his actual location?

Really having a hard time deciding between my Rogue and my Mage.

I have heard about the Knight Enchanter and I have heard about the Tempest.

I am however more interested in the Necromancer and the Assassin/Artificer.

Does anyone happen to have any feedback on those? I can't seem to even find game footage of them yet.

Where in Skyhold are the quest givers? Commander Helaine for example?

To check your companions belongings, I'm not entirely sure if it is the same for every specialization. I can say that after unlocking the quest I just walked up to varric and spotted a book lying on the table next to him, clicked it for codex XP and it turned out to be the artificer learnings. So looking in the environment around your party members at skyhold is a good place to start for the learnings. I presume if you did not get all the characters, ONLY THEN will the missing characters' specialization learnings show up at the book seller in val royeaux (south merchant where you can buy codex entries I think). Hope this helps.

You have to use the war table to unlock the specializations and then people show up that you have to talk to.

Speaking from my experience with the duals required for the Warrior's Champion spec. The mob packs with the actual champions that I needed to defeat seemed to spawn at random. As I noticed one after having passed the same spot 2-3 times just minutes before. But with the Broken Philters for the Templar spec one off the packs seemed to already be there the first time I passed through. But on the flip side those philters drop from random red templars even after I made the item at the requisition desk. So, it seems there's some kinks left to be worked out off the system af far as the specialization quests go.

If you are not in skyhold then you don't get the operation marker for specializations. perhaps you have to unlock an additional area as well? I'm unsure. Try completing some operations and maybe it will show up. The quest names above are not what the operation is called, those are the names of the quests you get from the people that show up after you complete the operation. cant remember what the operation is called.

I need one more broken philter for my Templar quest, but can't seem to find it. I've pretty much cleared the Hinterlands.

Edit: Nvm. Found it.

Regarding the way of the assassin mission. Does anyone here know where else to get the assassin weapons? I only got two from crestwood, there is no third assassin leader there.
