If I hear once more about my legionnaire holding off Darkspawn for 2 days or the keeper regretfully saying that she learned much from her team I'm gonna snap and kill someone.

Side notes on the voices:

1) Legionnaire has the most non-dwarfy and dull voice ever

2) Keeper is an annoying b**ch

3) Katari is a disappointment for me (I expected something deeper) and he can't shut up about killing a wyverne

4) overall the characters you "resque" have more personality and appeal.

So for the first DLC I expect "party banter onn/off button.

The banter is quite annoying after awhile, though this could be perception, but my Arcane Warrior barely says anything, or maybe his voice is so generic I'm mistakening him for one of the other characters.

I would like for it to be optional, because I personally enjoy it.  I tend to enjoy Bioware games mostly for the characters and stories.  I've only played a handful of MP games so far, but I've really enjoyed listening to the characters talk and interact.  I'd hate to see it reduced for everyone.  But I support a toggle for it.

What's annoying is when you have two Keepers that say the exact same line at the exact same time.

In my opinion, Bioware should have recorded 3x as much banter for each character and flagged each line so that it only played ONCE during an operation and only 1/3 of a character's randomized dialogue would be vocalized during any match.

I only hate when they say the line at the same time.  I would rather my character not say it at all, than hear it twice.

And you don't mind a single character repeating the same line a few times in a single match?

With more variety it could have been amazing but currently it feels like I'm hearing the same 3-4 lines 2-3 times a match. "I once held off Darkspawn for two days" "When this is over, I'd like to return to my clan." "I'm still getting used to the lack of silence." Etc etc etc.

The 3 base classes are pretty dull when it comes to banter but some others are pretty funny.  Elementalist is always excited and it cracks me up.  Alchemist has some problems.  "I have a rash"  WTF?

Whether you like it for immersion, or think it's pointless and stupid, spacing it out and making it much less common to hear would be helpful to both parties. I don't think that anyone who likes immersion actually likes hearing the same lines repeated 20 times in a match, and when you have repeated characters, the problem only worsens. I'm not sure exactly how the party banter procs from a coding sense, but it seems like it would just be a simple change to  have it occur less often, considering the extremely small number of lines recorded.

"Shall I give you a ladder so you can get off of my back!"

Is it really as frequent as the one I just quoted?  If so I may go serial.

And just for these overly-frequent, never-changing banters we didn't get the possibility to customize our MP-Characters... How disappointing.

Once when I was in the Deep Roads, I held off a group of Darkspawn for two days.

Think they are trying for something crazy cool with this banter..just don't feel it yet.. Like one of them saying " should we get drinks after this?" Like idk you or these other people. It definitely needs some more oomph

It s even worse when you have two same characters in the party, since they say their line at the same time with a weird echo effect.

The banter does get repetitive, I hope that BioWare can reduce the amount of times the characters talk per match as well as expand each character's dialogue choices via DLC.

On a side note, does anyone else find the Archer to be extremely depressed? I swear that some of his lines make me think that even if the group succeeds in completing the objectives that he is going to commit suicide back at camp.  :?

It is a huge overlook.  I'm surprised frankly, even though there are other decisions that I disagreed with but knew would be insisted upon

The voices and dialog are not even charismatic
