With as many problems amok right now, understand this first. This is a fix ONLY for getting DAUpdatersvc.Service running.

1. Is this fix for me?

A: Open your Task Manager. (Control+Alt+Delete for the laymen) Under services locate DAUpdatersvc. If this service is Stopped, try right clicking and starting the service. If you get an error, this fix if for you. If you do not have this service, this fix is not for you.

2. How do I fix this?

A: First, be warned. This will require you to change registry data. I will not be held responsible for any issues you could cause your self in there. First, open a window looking for the bin_ship folder. You can use Windows search feature, or look in Program Files\\Dragon Age. In the bin_ship folder, locate the DAUpdatersvc.Service. Keep this window open, but now open your registry.

To open the registry, run the program Regedit.exe, again, you can use Windows search feature to locate. In Regedit, under Edit in the top bar, click Find. Type in daupdater. This should locate the registry key for the service not running correctly. Look for ImagePath, and check the data for that key before changing anything. The value in the Data section should match the same target entry as the window you first opened.

As example, mine is C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\DAUpdatersvc.Service.
Before my fix, it read C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\DAUpdatersvc.Service.

The bolded section was a bad install the first time I installed the game. After reinstalling, the installer obviously does not update it's registry keys.

TL;DR
Find DAUpdatersvc.Service in your registry and update the ImagePath with the correct value.

I hope this helps some people out.
