Prizes: Every like you get is yours to keep. Winner has most likes. No ceremony.
Rules:
1) Pick any existing kit with a power that's just "off." Create a "new" power with a very similar role or function to what you're replacing, but that makes more sense on the kit. Do not replace it with something that does not fit the same role.
Good example: Turian Soldier: replace concussive shot with "Launcher" which is a weapon-mounted grenade launcher. That uses concussive grenades. This would still allow the power to be used the same way, but also allow it to be used in combination with Marksman, possibly a worthwhile tradeoff for some.
Bad example: Novaguard: replace shockwave with "Death Vortex" which is just Annihalation Field with a bigger bonus to BEs. While this would undoubtedly be OP, it goes completly against the power you're replacing and is nothing more than a power fantasy. It breaks the rules of the game.
2) Be sure to explain what's "off" about the old power. It needs a legitimate excuse to be worth changing.
3) Be sure to cover what would be different about the new power, and why it fits better.
4) MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: Say something clever at the end about WHY you picked this exact thing. This is what will determine who likes your post, most likely, so make it count! Example in my entry below.
Ranylyn's Entry:
Kit: Krogan Warlord
Power Replaced: Electric Hammer
New Power: Fire Hammer
Why change the old power: It's rank 5 makes no sense. It's an electric hammer that applies either a fire or an ice effect? Fire, I can kind of get... but ice? It just makes more sense to make it fire by default!
New effect: It would still be the AOE hammer, but instead of a fire/ice effect at rank 5, it will get the choice between Damage over Time (basically the old fire effect) or "Sparks" which acts like "shrapnel" from Cluster/Inferno grenades; sparks fly out at random and apply the fire AOE (not the hammer damage) in a radius around where it lands, effectively increasing the range of the AOE. Again, it's the AOE hammer anyways.
Why I chose to give thi hulking brute more fire: So I can nickname it "The Incindijaeger." Say it slowly and think it over. And don't kill me for that terribad pun!
