Greetings all.

 

I thought I'd start a thread here for people to post their favorite crafting accomplishments.

 

Sadly, I didn't think to get a screenshot of mine yet, but I'll rectify that as soon as I get back from work.

 

I found the schematics for Double Bearded Axe and crafted one for Two-Hander Qunari with some of the supplies I got out of that crate next to Harrit and the results were magnificent.  I used Bloodstone on the top and Onyx on the bottom.  I don't recall the exact bonuses here at work, but it has higher DPS than even the level-gated Maul I found and can't use yet (131 for my axe), AoE damage, penetration, and looks absolutely bad-ass with the blood-red double axe blade.  I renamed it Blood Moon.

Amazing, where did you find such nice schematics?

 

I'm lvl 5 (not far from 6 and don't got a decent one) : / and Onyx or Bloodstone sounds like really good stuff, all I keep finding is iron ore and elven root. :< ^^'

I honestly forget exactly where I found the schematic, but it has to have been either in Haven or Hinterlands - I hadn't been anywhere else at the time.  Onyx and Bloodstone were in the lootable crate next to the Blacksmith in Haven for me, but I have come across a couple Onyx deposits in the Hinterlands.

 

The graphic for Double Bearded Axe is the same as in da2, but it looks so much more awesome with the red blade.  Using this with upgraded MB and Whirlwind just destroys basic Hinterlands mobs.  And since I also have both Viv and Solas using Ice...

For some good Onyx Deposits go to

Go to the hinterlands - then I believe its the right most camp - Go towards the back of the camp and through a tunnel - Be careful back there because a dragon flies around and takes pot-shots at you.

Theres also a skull back there with shards and some dragonlings.
Basically follow the right wall towards the back of the area - eventually youll curve a bit and be walking left (because you are walking along the back wall) - at this point youll hit a little pond type water pool - in this area Onyx and another ore I believe spawn here
 

Plus there is drakestone back there too - And a red lyrium deposit as well

That's a lot of powers on there!  It's like a D3 Staff!

This is still pretty early, but I crafted this beast for Cassandra. Want to show appreciation for my tank I ****** love the crafting system in this game, easily the best in any RPG I've ever played. It stays relevant throughout the whole game.

Where did you pick that thing up? Also, the flanking bonus from a grip... that too. Where'd you find that?

That unique staff was in a certain Ruin, infested by tevinter scum and it has some weird time-**** going on. you'll know it when you step foot in it, it's in western approahc somewhere.

 

Since then i've been doing some collecting, this is my staff now:
