How is that game from 2014 could have such terrible & limiting hair styles? Is Bioware just that afraid to face hair clipping issues that they just plain, flat don't want to make longer than shoulder length hair styles? It's infuriating to see Bioware mess up hair styles year after year, after year.

It's so weird, because they obviously didn't worry about armour clipping in DA:I!

You know there's a problem when the hairstyles in CC are more of an abomination than any demon or spirit present in the actual game. :P I completely agree with everyone here. The hairstyles are bad. What happened?!

Isn't it sad that the pride demon from the start was more believable as a qunari than your own character?

+1

Did they add new hairstyles for DA2? I can not remember. I have stated before that we beg for better hair every game and somehow they came out with ones that are worse than the previous two games.

Somewhere down the line of this games creation someone had to say "I bet gamers want to create female characters that look like butches" and they bought it. Same person who probably made Viviene look like a chipmunk, Sera look like Britney Spears after an "episode," and Cassandra look like she could beat me in a man off contest.

Who knows, maybe a bunch of butch lesbians are on the design team at Bioware?

So far, everyone I've met who has joined the team has better hairstyles than what were available in the selection in the beginning.

I find this irritating.

I keep looking at Blackwalls hair and thinking that is exactly what would go on my human character next time (with shorter hair in the back anyway).
Well, done griping on this, much as its fun, and hopefully drilling into Bioware developers minds the AGGRAVATION of this design choice.

In terms of visual fidelity, I was pretty happy with it. Variety wasn't at a mindblowing setting though. It's most of what you'd expect from previous DAs.

Isn't it sad that the pride demon from the start was more believable as a qunari than your own character?

Outside of hairstyle, I was very happy with the results. The horns won a 10 out of 10 on the Heavy Metal Meter™.

BioWare has always been terrible with hair. I had hoped the new hardware and engine would allow them to improve, but I expect it. Sadly, we got more crappy, recycled hairstyles. They really are so bad as to break immersion. Such work will not be good enough for the next ME, I hope they realize.

I was looking forward, at least, to having black hair. Sadly, they made the same mistakes with hair color that they made with ME and ME2. I play those on 360, and I can't play a created Shep without editing Vectors and Scalars to make things look more natural. (The same is true of ME3, though not specifically with black hair, which actually looked okay on that game.) Playing now on PS4, I have no idea if and when save editing will be an option. I haven't even looked into it.

I know I am tired of my BioWare characters wearing plastic helmet-hair. You guys write great characters, but you really need to step up your game, in this regard. It's embarrassing, and it ruins verisimilitude for some of us.

I hated their lack of long hair. I, myself, am not one of those women who can stand short hair. Shoulder length was the shortest I've ever had my hair and it scared me. I wish they would have had a lot of hair options.

I have to voice my agreement as well. I really feel as if we've been given the short end of the stick for hairstyles. I also prefer longer hairstyles, but even in the absence of that there should at least be some variety to style in the game. Most of these hairstyles are too similar to even be considered diverse.

If not in the form of a patch, then there should at least be a DLC for it. A *free* DLC since they aren't allowing mods any time in the foreseeable future. If they aren't going to allow the community to do it for them, then they need to make sure they do it right themselves.

So maybe it's just me but all the characters in my game have SUPER reflective hair. They all look like they are wearing shiny hair helmets, and don't even get me started on facial hair. It looks like molded plastic, in certain lighting Dorian's hair turns silver/grey it's pretty horrible.

This has a lot to do with your mesh settings. I'm not sure if you're on console, and what the options are there.. but if you're on PC, setting the mesh to at least 'high' will keep your hair from looking like a lego wig. (Although, if you're like me, you're sacrificing framerate to make your hair look decent)

I'd be happy with Blackwalls hair being availble, or the same hair but shorter and without a widows peak. Shortish hair like in the previous games (where'd the long crewcut go?), and...well, pretty much anything from Skyrim. Or ... most of it.

Yep. Fix that, and add some sort of interface filter to take the shine out of the hair (not really worried about that part actually, but mentioning it because some people are), or some advice on how to fix it, if any.

Lastly, while off topic, it still relates to the appearance of ones Inquisitor/Herald.

New.
Clothes.
Shepard had 3 choices in ME3 I think...
