Starting to get really upset with The Keep!

Ok, I have played the intro at least three times only to talk to Liliana and figure out that the Keep did not load in correctly. I can't even figure out if my Origins and game are connected because it never asks me for a username or password. I switched it to not auto log me in and all it changes is that I have to hit triangle (PS3 version) and then it logs me in, again asking no information. I then go to create a character and it shows, quickly, an importing saves from Keep box. Then at the end it asks me if I want to import, to which I say yes, and it doesn't give me a confirmation time stamp to check it with the time stamp I have on my keep. On the keep it shows the green check mark and, as I said, gives me a time stamp. I don't know what is going on, but I am really getting upset. I love DA and I am just desperate to play it with the story options I chose. Thanks for your help in advance, just in case I leave the computer and don't see your response.

Hi TheRhoadWarden -

When you select to import from the Keep on your PS3, does it give you any errors?  Can you also tell me if it says "Default" or "Custom" for the world state?

If you want to confirm if your PS3 and Origin are connected, you can visit https://dragonagekee.../account-check;that page has a black bar on it, which when you click it will list all linked gamer tags.  If your PS3 account is included there, then your Origin account and PS3 are linked.  If it is not there, then your PS3 is either not linked at all, or linked to another account.

I had a similar problem, I would say you either have more than one origin account or your account is not linked with your psn.  This is my post from another forum.

Ok I know I'm not the only one having this problem so I thought I would share how I think I fixed my problem with everyone and maybe can save someone the headache I've been going through.

I set up my keep in beta, had everything ready { or so I thought } for a midnight release.  Get home at midnight Monday and play until 0300 in the morning.  Took the day off yesterday to stay at home and play all day.  Around 9pm last night I strike up a conversation with Liliana and ask her if she was friends with the hero of the 5th blight.  She tells me yes she was friends with her but sadly she died killing the archdemon.  Well that was news to me because I was a man and I lived and logain killed the archdemon and Liliana was my romance.  So I knew there was a wrench in the works, somewhere.

After much searching and anguish I think I've fixed my problem.

I found on forums that I needed to make sure my origin account and my xbox live account was linked.  So I new my live email and origin email was different. Why that matters I'm not sure If they are the same I think you can link them easier but you will have to look that up on your own. I did find something on ea's or origins web page that mentioned it but since it didn't apply to me I didn't go any further.

So I had to go to origin and download the client { or just download origin } after that I signed in and in the upper left you can pick add friends or something like that.  Once you pick to add friends a box with come up where you can click xbox live or psn along with a search bar.  I clicked the xbox live button and then you will be prompted to sign in to your xbox live account.  After I did this I got hit with a { this account is already linked to another origin account } box.  So that told me I had 2 origin accounts and that's why the tapestry I had created in the keep didn't link with my xbox live account.

Well I don't have but 2 emails that I use, a personal and a work so I went back to origin and signed in with my work email and then clicked { I forgot my password } to confirm that was the right email.  Sure enough I check my work email this morning and I have the origin email there waiting for me. I change my password and sign in to origin and everything works.

Now I had to go to the keep and sign in from my old account and send a friend request to my new found account.  Then sign into my origin account and accept my own friend request.  Once I was friends with myself I then went back to the keep with my old account and shared my world state with myself on the new account.  Then I signed into the keep with my new account and loaded my shared world state into my old account { the one that is linked to my xbox live account }. Then uploaded it to Inquisition.  Whew that was a headache, I'm still at work so I haven't confirmed that it worked 100 percent but I'm really sure it's going to, because I know what was wrong.

So I guess I just played a long demo past 24 hours, but I guess I'll live with it.  It's but a small price to pay for such a huge game.  I would rather not have to start all over, but hey look at the bright side.  Now I can chose to play as the mage or the rouge instead of second guessing my rouge choice.  I hope this helps someone.

To Brian Mills- It says default, even though I've had my world state ready for days now.

To Gen- Wait, re-download my origins on my PC? Will that mess up my copy/saves of The Sims 4?

Ok - so we can confirm then that it's definitely not picking anything up.

Can you confirm if the account-check page shows your PS3 account listed on it?

Sorry, but your link led to a 404.

I got it to show, but it says I have a PC and not a Playstation that I am going to play it on.

I went to the Origins website and it says that I have no connected accounts. Is that the problem?

Ok, just discovered something, but not sure what I can do to fix it. I while back I think I forgot all of my information and started a new Origins account, my current one. I just went to my Origins and found the way to connect my PSN and Origins, but it said my PSN was already linked, I assume my old Origins. Is there any way I can connect my PSN and new Origins without having to recreate my Keep world states?

You probably going have to call EA support to switch your PSN from the old account to the new one.

Dang it! Thank you so much for your help. Do you happen to know where I can find the number?

One solution I've seen someone suggest elsewhere (and Gen philips also mentioned above) is to add your other Origin account as a friend.

Then you can share your World States on this account with the other one.

Same problem I had. Do you have access to you old email that your Psn account is linked to ?  If so sign into origin with that email and tell it you forgot your password.  Then change your password { this is assuming you don't know it }  and then resign into origins with the old account.  Send your new account a friends request.  Accept your the old accounts friends request with the new account.  Then share your world state { from the new account with your friend the old account }.  Then sign into the keep with the old account { the one that's linked to your psn } and import the shared world state.  Then upload that to DAI and you should be good.

All you would need is the email, and access to it.  If you don't have that then I'm not sure how to change it.

I had the same issue before the game even came out- my psn was not linked to my origins ID. There is an option on the origins main page to login with your psn ID and then once you've done that you can see which email is linked to that ID. Once you have access to the account you can either use the correct email to login (I didn't have access to this email address) or change the email associated with your psn ID. (As long as that email isn't already being used for a separate origins account). It was actually a very quick fix for me since I had at least one email not associated with an origins account.

Also- there is an option to chat with an origins customer service associate in the contact origins/help section. I explained to him the problem, gave him the emails my psn id could possibly be associated with- and he would have had it fixed that night had a tech team member been there to fix it (it was about 1 am est).

I'm impatient so I did it the other way I mentioned above and that worked just fine also.
