At the very least, I feel it needs a radius buff. I would like to be able to target it while running, too. If I had my wish, I would like to see it affect all party members without targeting.
We need people to play Barrier-casters in MP. For that, it needs to be fun and casters need to be able to have attention to spare for other things.
Yes, it is mostly lemmings' fault that it's such a pain. But that doesn't make it any more enjoyable for the mage.
In single player, the AI is too dumb to aim it properly and too dumb to stick together so you can cast it on them. There is tactical view, but again, it feels like a hassle that should not be necessary.
