Hi there,

i preordered dragon age inquisition.

Im not sure if i should start on normal or hard. I mainly plan to play the game like dark souls, allmost no pausing. I like hard games but im reading that you need to pause alot on hard and i realy dont want to do that often.

My main will be an human warrior templar.

Also how big is the map size realy? bigger than skyrim, smaller? compared to mordor?!

Thanks in advance!

If you are a souls fan I would recommend hard for sure. I haven't play DA:I yet but any footage of normal mode I have seen looks very very easy.

Play on hard. It's not that bad. On the tougher fights you might need to use the tac Cam to take down tougher enemies but for the most part you should do OK. Especially with a warrior.

The map is probably as big or bigger than Skyrim. I've only seen the hinterlands and it's massive, supposedly there are 6 other areas comparable size to that.

The biggest problem playing this game like an action game on higher difficulty is that it is not really an action game. Rooted combat except for archers would make it quite impossible to do so.

Map size is huge, haven played far enough but it would at the very least be as huge as Skyrim; I think it should be bigger though.

Go Hard - I've found that I did have to pause and every now and then, but not frequently. I mainly used pause to reposition my companions either to avoid danger or to get to a better vantage point.

Templar - I don't think you'll be able to unlock this right away, but from what I can tell you...warriors are awesome. I don't play one, but I use Cassandra as my tank and I swear, without her abilities I don't know where I'd be. Warriors have some incredibly useful skills.

Map Size - There are different maps. Individually, I don't think they're bigger than Skyrim's as a whole, but I highly doubt that will be an issue. Also, I've only played the first open map (Hinterlands) so I could actually be wrong about the others. Regardless, there's plenty to do and find on just one map alone, so you won't be disappointed.. Now, compared to Mordor, it's huge (even just one map). In fact, I don't think Mordor even holds a candle to Inquisition's maps (in my opinion).  ^_^

Gona start on hard.

What exactly happens if someone in my party dies while fighting? do they revive at the end of combat? do they still get exp for the fight? Do enemys respawn?

Hard seems quite easy so far, I would probably go Nightmare if I was to start playing now. You can't get the Nightmare achievement without playing Nightmare from start to finish.

a) What exactly happens if someone in my party dies while fighting? do they revive at the end of combat?  do they still get exp for the fight?

b )Do enemys respawn?

a) you can revive them during combat or they will revive themselves after combat. Depending on the level you play they will come back with a different level health 10% on hard or Nightmare. I think all party members get ex when you get it even if they are not with you.

b ) Normal mobs respawn given time. You can wipe out a certain type of mob in an area if you over farm them but they will be replaced by something else.

High Dragons and quest related enemies don't respawn they are a one time event.

I play on easy because I have trouble with combat and controlling without autoattack.

Try it on hard, if that's your preference.  If it becomes unfun, you can always switch the difficulty in your game options.  But go for it. :)

You'll have to pause on hard and nightmare. Not as big as Skyrum, but still huge.
